Filthy room! Just absolutely gross. Didn’t look cleaned or updated since probably 1980. In the year of the plague, how can you feel comfortable renting a room with this much mold, dust, baked on food, stains, holy and stained towels, etc.?? AND this trash cost $218.90/night during fall colors in October! There just aren’t words for how angry and disgusted I am. TripAdvisor will only let me select 10 photos, so I’ve chosen the grossest...

Our room smelled like a wet dog, the bathroom was full of mold around the shower. I cant recommend this place to anyone. To much money for this type of accommodations. I mentioned this to the owner but he really didn't seem interested...

Pros: Hot water, fridge, porch, 2 bathrooms, TV. Nicely obscured view. Cons: Bugs of all kinds, spider in bed, ants (and several ant traps, including under the bed), moths in room as well as many, many gnats and some flies. I have stayed in many places on mini vacations, all across Northern Michigan and they seem to have it under control. I suggest bug bombs. Also, dead rotting bird outside back door. Rodents. Mildew smell reminiscent of Grandma's house that has been closed for years. Hard beds... questionable cleaning (found a used contact lens on floor in bathroom and hair from previous guests). Old, gross carpet, stained walls. Extra blanket and pillow were badly stained with either blood or chocolate. Grimy towels from the 90s most likely. Just yuck. Dearly wish I had read trip advisor reviews. Based upon those I am not even going to bother to call and complain, for I never want to stay here again. Read the bio of the owners and they seem sweet so why aren't they stepping this up??? Probably get a new groundskeeper/manager/cleaning staff? Could be charming but needs lots of TLC. The only plus to camping- there was a bathroom, TV, fridge and roof.

I can honestly say the location of this establishment is great. The room smelled moldy, the TV had to be worked manually, the bed was hard, the pillows were way too soft and the pillow cases did not even match. There was no bed side table, there was no closet to hang your clothes in. The blinds in the bathroom and on the door were very dirty. The outside was a totally neglected with weeds everywhere. The benches across the street and the steps down to the water had weeds growing up thru them. Due to COVID-19 services to the room were suspended however no one was around to even ask for a box of tissues or a clean towel, or empty the trash or...... This is not a place to stay for me, never again!

This weekend’s experience was great fun and the location of the Inn was perfect. Stayed in room 6 which had a cabin feel to it. A few observations - my room was the upper. it was pleasant, clean and comfortable with a convenient half bath. Air, lights & TV all worked. Bedding & carpet good. View of bay. Kitchenette - microwave, stove, lights, fridge - all good. Bedroom on main floor needs a nightstand. The remote for the TV only changes the channels. Does not power on/off or manage volume. A cloths rack also needed in the room and there is space for it. The cabin could use a paint freshen up - scuff marks on walls. Opening the windows before guests arrive would make a better impression. The outside planting beds all need weeding badly. The eaves have trees growing in them and the grass needs mowing/wacking. Ditto above for paint on the outside. Walkways could use a leaf blower. Bench area, across the road overlooking the bay, needs attention. All said, no major concerns- mostly cosmetic suggestions. This Inn could be charming with a little added ;-)
