What a great hotel from the rooms, to the amazing staff & the excellent restaurant! Not only do they do it with a smile but generally make you feel welcome!!! They also manage to give you a lift to the downtown area! Wow. When I visit Traverse City again, I would most definitely stay there!!!

We had to find another hotel to stay in for one night as we extended our stay this past weekend. This hotel had the best pricing. We were able to get in 2 queen beds for the night. The room was extremely spacious as it had a separate living area that also included a pull out sofa and additional TV. The shower/bathtub was huge and the bathroom was definitely well sized and we had all four towels and washcloths we need to accommodate the 4 of us (most places I have to call for additional linens) The kids were able to enjoy the pool. We went to the bar for happy hour. It was good for our 1 night needs. Would stay here again.

We wanted to book a brief family getaway on short notice, which was not an easy feat in the summer of 2021, particularly in a summer destination like Traverse City. After failing to find someplace to stay through most other channels, I stumbled across this hotel. I’ve stayed at other Cambria properties, so it seemed like a solid option in spite of the absolutely ridiculous price (despite earning a D in college economics, I understand the basic principles of supply and demand, so I was able to get past that issue).

Our experience was nothing short of outstanding. Our room was quite spacious, with plenty of room to spread out for four people. Our room had two queen beds, but there was also a sitting area that had a pull out sofa that basically served as a private suite for one of my daughters and the girls were thrilled that they didn’t need to share a bed! We all loved the shower - the water pressure was amazing and we loved the little nook to keep our stuff.

Every staff member we experienced was very friendly and accommodating to any need or question we had.

One of the most surprising aspects of this place was the Reflect Bistro restaurant. I am not usually a fan of hotel restaurants, especially in a town with so many fantastic places to eat, but our dinner here was one of the best meals we had on our visit…and it didn’t have the absurd wait times that we found at every other decent restaurant in town.

The Cambrian TC definitely gets Hugh marks from this family!

Questionable cleanliness

I’ve stayed at this locations from the day they opened but must say the rooms have continued to get dirtier every stay. My last stay included food items left behind in the refrigerator and sticky handles on the microwave with fingerprints all over the doors and granite counter. My biggest complaint remains with the lack of cleaning in the bathrooms. The grout around the tiles in the toilet area and the sides of the shower walls should not be dirty grey. This place needs a deep cleaning. The sink gives off a smell of mold and is encrusted with crud under the counter top. The mirrors have a layer of dust on the frames and the handicapped bathrooms have cheap plastic shelving and benches that ARE NOT SAFE! The only positive at this location is the excellent front desk. Please don’t believe the reviews for the food. Over priced small portions and a total lack of ambiance.

When I was looking for affordable places to stay with our family of six (children ages 14-22) for three nights, I stumbled upon this one on ChoiceHotels.com, of which I am a member. I was drawn in by the atmosphere in the photos, the reasonable price for the area, as well as the amenities it has to offer: excellent restaurant on site, spacious work out room with many machines and weights, and nice pool with hot tub. Upon arrival, we were greeted by very friendly staff members, and the whole time we were there, everyone was very accommodating. Our room had two queen beds and a pull-out couch so everyone had a bed. We enjoyed walking the 20 minutes or so it took to walk straight into downtown Traverse City several times. They also have a shuttle into town, but we didn't take advantage of that. Our room was spacious, and it included a larger under counter fridge, microwave, and Keurig, with a lot of counter and shelf space below. We brought our own breakfast items as this hotel doesn't include breakfast. However, they do have a very nice restaurant and bar on site, and we ate dinner there once (they do serve breakfast and lunch as well). It was great! The menu is wonderful and varied, and the waitress did well with our group of thirteen from three different families. I also appreciated how quickly the elevators ran: we never had to wait for more than a minute for one to arrive! My one request would have been hot water in the lobby for tea next to the coffee.

We visited the Cambria on September 26-30th to join a reunion of eight friends. The reservation staff provided excellent service. All arrangements were easy to make and completed by staff with an exceptionally friendly attitude.

The Cambria provided us with a comfortable, spacious room that was impeccably clean. I asked for a room close to the first floor lobby to accommodate my disabled husband. We were immediately accommodated and upon arrival were shown great courtesy by all hotel staff. In fact, the desk staff were the most kind, friendly, and prompt to respond to any request of any staff of hotels in which we have stayed in our 50 years of world wide travel.

Alexandria, Lauren, Jacob and Ryan each acted as though our comfort and that of our friends was of highest concern to them. They rushed to assist as soon as they noticed a need. We cannot praise them enough!

We also were highly impressed with the hotel restaurant which is small, intimate and charming with outstanding cuisine and service. We have dined in many Traverse City venues and the Reflect Bistro’s cuisine and service is among the very best of them.

The attractive Cambria lobby and bar provide an open, welcoming and spacious place for meeting friends and echo the friendly staff approach.

The Cambria has an interesting way of handling housekeeping service. Service to your room is on request rather than automatic on a daily basis. The hotel staff promptly and cheerfully respond to any request such as extra coffee or towels. We preferred this on request service, giving us more flexibility and privacy and an appreciation of the reduced use of environmental resources.

I highly recommend The Cambria and Reflect Bistro as one of the best non beach hotels in Traverse City.

We just finished a 6 day Bike Trip in Michigan and ended in Traverse City.
We had made reservations at the Cambria Suites prior to our trip. We were
greeted at the front desk by Lilia and Ryan who couldn't have been more helpful.
They were able to make some changes for us needed on our rooms, and were
extremely helpful in getting us to and from our dinner reservations downtown in the
complimentary van. Even offered to pick up our friends at a sister Hotel.
Couldn't have been more pleased with the service and the Hotel and Room
were Outstanding!!! Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

This was our first time staying at the Cambria in Traverse City, although we had dinner at their restaurant, Reflect, once on a previous visit to the city. I will definitely stay there again. It is a lovely piece of property, and the staff make you feel like you are family, right from the front desk to the bar area, to the excellent fine restaurant. Our room was a King Deluxe Suite and very nicely laid out. The bed was very comfortable and separated from the living area. The room was very clean and included a Keurig coffee maker, choice of pillows, 2 TVs, plenty of towels, and many outlets for charging phones, tablets, etc. Probably my only issue would be that the lighting was poor, both in the bed and living area, and in the bathroom. As a senior I appreciated the firm toilet seat cover, making it easy to sit down to dress and undress without falling. And their restaurant is definitely fine dining. Not a large menu, but definitely excellent. This will be our go to hotel and restaurant next time we are in the area.
And they have a free shuttle for anywhere in the city, including the airport, which we took advantage of to shop in the busy downtown.

This hotel was fabulous. From the moment we set our feet in the door we were taken care of by friendly staff. Our room was beautiful as well as clean and spacious. We were excited with the king bed and separate seating area as well as mugs and glasses that were not paper or plastic. A nice touch were flowers in the room for our anniversary. Also the Reflect Bistro was a great place to have dinner and drinks to celebrate. The food was outstanding. Also free shuttle to downtown and Brad gave us an excellent pub to enjoy drinks and dinner and was there to get us in about 10 minutes.

I did my homework. I read the reviews and looked at other options. Decided on the Cambria. Perfect option. The hotel is modern, clean in all aspects. The staff is courteous and attentive. Restaurant menu had so many options it was difficult to choose from. The drinks were great and meals excellent. After the excellent dinner I decided to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant also. It did not disappoint. As a veteran traveler I have stayed at many higher priced and rated hotels - none have been better than this. I will return each time in the area. I will also look for the same hotel chain elsewhere. Well done Cambria!!!

Not too bad, but keep an eye on traffic. Personally I would drive, there's parking just off Front street and I would save my energy for walking to the park and marina area.

If by the beach you mean the State park beach, it is within the 5-6 miles that you can go. I’d say yes but call the Cambria- they are very nice.
