Our visit was one of the most pleasant hotel experiences I have had. We came to the Alexandra Inn for my mothers 92nd birthday. The people at the front desk were smiling and pleasant. Every time we came through there.
Our rooms were extremely clean and comfortable with a full size sofa bed with a nice deep mattress ( no way could you feel any bars through this),
A small refrigerator and microwave and also an adorable pink Keurig coffee maker.
We had breakfast at the restaurant/bar our 1st morning there and my mother accosted Quinn with comments about how we should get our breakfast free because the hotel cost so much money. Love that Quinn went quite and took this in. She is definitely 92 years old and outspoken. We spent several meals and evenings upstairs and before we left, Quinn was having his picture taken with Mom. With a big smile on his face. And it was beautiful.
We felt like the rooms could use a few more hooks for towels and bags to be hung up. That’s our criticism. Not a real criticism.
We had a lovely time. And the hotel was beautiful and I felt that the bar and restaurant were very fairly priced. Thank you Quinn

We just stayed for 5 nights at the Alexandra inn. It is a brand new inn and it is beautiful. It is a 10 minute drive from downtown traverse city. I went with my husband for a special getaway for our anniversary. It was the perfect place to getaway as a couple, but I am also excited to come back with our kids. They have configured the hotel so that instead of connecting rooms every room is paired with another room with its own private entrance so that you don’t have to go out into the hall to get to the other room, but you do need a key to the other room. They are located right on the beach at the east arm of grand traverse bay. The water is beautiful, clear and shallow. They also have a rooftop bar/restaurant with amazing views of the lake, especially during sunrise and sunset. They have free coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24/7 in the lobby which we very much enjoyed and took advantage of.

The rooms are very clean, charming and modern. The family that runs the inn has built the inn from the ground up and they have thoughtfully planned out every detail so that it is an enjoyable and relaxing escape for all of their guests.

The Inn is owned and run by Josh, Tonya and their daughter Ally. I cannot speak highly enough of this family and their hospitality. Each morning they greeted us, asked what our plans were for the day and helped to map out our day and any highlights we should make sure to check out. At the end of each day they would welcome us back and check in to see how our adventures were and provide us with more history and insight about what we had seen that day. In addition to their hospitality, they were also very accommodating of our needs and anything that we needed in our room.

Traverse city, it’s surrounding towns and their beautiful landscapes were the reason why we came, but our stay at the Alexandra Inn was an unexpected highlight of our trip and we look forward to coming back again. I would highly recommend it!

Small and intimate hotel on the waterfront in Traverse City. Staff is friendly, accommodating to needs, and courteous.

The staff at the Rooftop café bent over backwards to dry the tables and chairs (due to inclement weather), and to serve us. I know it was a pain because the rain was coming and going, but we really appreciated. The extra effort on their part. The food is excellent!

We thank you for a very pleasant experience and wish that our stay was longer. We will be back for another visit.

Nice place, right on the beach. The room was nice as was the bathroom. There's limited parking and an outdoor deck up top called Blush. I'd recommend Blush for a drink and the view but really, skip the breakfast. I've never seen an omelette so thin or so tasteless. I think it was manufactured offsite, then microwaved. Really surprisingly disappointing at this rate. Service at Blush was friendly but the logistics to get a coffee or refill was odd. Server would grab your cup and take it all the way back to the kitchen. ??

We stayed a total of two nights and the tab was $1100+ Way to expensive, even by Traverse City standards.
The other oddity was that I asked for some wine glasses, since we brought our own favorite wine and was told they wouldn't let you have wine glasses in the room. And yet, they sold wine in their little lobby store. $1100.00 plus? We expected more. We likely won't return to this place.

We stayed at the Alexandra Inn for one night, after a flight from Texas to Traverse City. It is very new - only a couple of months old when we got there in August 2023. I liked that because many of the hotels look like they've been there for a very long time, I like hotels to feel clean and crisp. Rooms are nice and clean. Location is toward the end of a long stream of hotels along the coast, but still close enough to town. The rooftop bar is a bit sparse but we enjoyed a drink up there and enjoyed the view. The staff was nice. There are cookies at night in the lobby.

This hotel is top shelf wonderful. The owners of this boutique hotel are professional, charming and so knowledgeable of the Traverse City area. They will take the time to answer questions as well as map out a day’s adventure better than any travel agent. You would never know this hotel has only been open since June 2023. It is running like a well oiled machine. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated with a beautiful modern touch. The lake front property adds to the overall experience. We would highly recommend this hotel. If we ever come back to Traverse City, we will definitely stay at the Alexandra Inn and will recommend it to any of our friends who might be thinking of coming to this area.

We stayed at the Alexandra Inn in Traverse City. Brand new hotel just opened in June 2023. All of the staff, from the owner to the housekeeping staff were extremely friendly and nice.

The area around the hotel was not congested and we felt very safe at all times during the day and evening.

Our room had a balcony that faced Lake Michigan. So peaceful and relaxing. We spent a large portion of our time there.

In the morning, we watched the staff grooming the private beach area and getting it ready for the day.

The rooftop restaurant/bar was a great place to watch the sunset into the bay.

We stayed two days but we should have stayed longer.

We will definitely be back another time.

There was a freak accident at the hotel we were supposed to stay at, and they were without electricity and unsure when it was going to be repaired, so they cancelled all their reservations the night before we were supposed to check-in. Fortunately Alexandria Inn just opened for business, and had a room available. Everything is brand new and I think we were the first people to use the room. It's modern and beautiful. The room and the bathroom are larger than we expected. The roof top bar/restaurant is overlooking the lake, has flowers, and comfortable seating. We were served beer and a light lunch by the hotel intern, Lars, who is just the friendliest young man. They have a cute beach with a lot of open lounge chairs. The water is a little shallow, unless you walk out a bit. Lars, if you're reading this, I investigated the strange rectangle in the water, and it's just a concrete block. It's not buried treasure! Best of wishes for your career in hospitality!

We had just heard that the Alexandra Inn had opened a rooftop restaurant and since it was a beautiful evening we decided to try it. The first impression was a beautiful view, since it sits on East Grand Traverse Bay. We chose a table near the window where you have to order. The tables are arranged across the deck in a way that, if you have 4 people, 1 person has to sit with their back to the view.

The limited menu has a few appetizers, 3 choices of sandwiches, and a couple salads. We had a couple appetizers and sandwiches. They also offer a fair bar selection that includes local wines.

The staff was friendly, food was good, and although it didn't arrive quickly, it was not overly slow. I wonder if it had been busy if the speed would've been even slower? Ordering and paying at the window was a little awkward, but it works.

We will certainly visit again.

Thank you for visiting Blush and for such great feedback! We took your idea and pivoted the tables on the rooftop so that everyone can enjoy the view. We try and keep it casual and approachable but apologize if the window ordering was awkward. Always room to improve and we are working each day on increasing efficiency and the guest experience. Looking forward to having you back!
