We stayed for a weekend during the winter season. The staff were friendly. The room was clean. The view from our room was great! The room was a bit dated. The bathroom had suffered water damage at some point but was clean. The front door did not do a great job of attenuating noise from the hallway outside the room. We have stayed at this hotel before and would stay here again despite some shortcomings.
Nice relaxing hotel with a beautiful East bay view from the balcony. Convenient location and private beach which is decent size compared to other resorts there. Organized text service with main lobby for any needs and good covid practices. 10 minutes from downtown on a busy 5 lane road with no crosswalks close to get to stores or restaurants. Room is fine but hallways could use an update from the bright yellow and teal wall colors that make you think twice when you first go in. The staff is helpful and friendly and we would definitely stay again!
Overpriced much nicer hotels in the area low price With better aminties Will never stay AGAIN small beach rooms in need of update Very unfriendly staff little to no parking Chairs on beach far and few
Grand Beach Resort Hotel provided exactly what we were expecting: clean rooms, beachfront balcony with a great view, and a nice beach. The room was not spectacular, but clean and relatively updated. The balcony was great at night and in the morning. The beach was spread out and swimming in the water was amazing. We walked down the beach to compare the beachfront and balconies to similar properties and felt that Grand Beach appeared to be the best option. The service was as good as it could have been during the times of the pandemic. We received prompt responses to any request. The only suggestion would be wiping down the siding/railings on the balconies between guests as the siding was covered in dead flies and the railings had a build up of spider webs. This is a family hotel, so one should not expect the same quiet, relaxing beach setting as an adults only resort. This is likely the case with all resorts in the area. With that said, the beach was large enough to spread out. It felt a bit overpriced, but was comparably priced to all other beachfront hotels in the area.…
The waterfront location and view are lovely, but the beach is quite small and was crowded even during the week. The room was average, and the location was not good for getting food. The traffic was very busy, and there's not much around for dining options. We did not receive our continental breakfast as scheduled one of the days we stayed. The indoor pool is also quite small.
