Very simple and quaint, but consistent with the area. You will not be disappointed with the food. Just like home cooking. One of the nice things, is that you can sit a spell and talk and relax, they wont rush you out.

This was my first night stopover on a 4 day motorcycle trip in the UP. I was tired, sore and ready to call it a day. I was very grateful to find this little town. McGowan's Motel was clean, but very old. Kitchenette in my room dated back to the 50's at least. BRING CASH! This is the land that...

Driving from newberry Michigan back to Ohio and found this place on the way . Stopped here for breakfast . Me and my friends had toast , hash browns , eggs , omelette coffee . The food was good and would surely come again if I pass by the place .

Food was great! Service was really good, place was clean and prices were reasonable. Did not stay at motel but if it was as well kept as restaurant it should be nice. Besides the cook there seemed to be only one wonderful lady waiting on tables, serving, answering the phone, working cash register, she did a great job, but could...

Stayed here over the 4th of July weekend, nice, friendly place. Nothing fancy, but the room was clean, hot water for showers and clean fresh sheets on the bed. Ate at the restaurant, good food, very friendly staff. Will probably stay next year too!

With the bridge walk it was hard to find a room over Labor Day weekend. So we got rooms at McGowan's in Trout Lake. It's a basic hotel. We had breakfast at the restaurant the next morning, great family style diner with very quick service!!!

We were there on a rainy Sunday morning and had excellent service as there was only one other couple there. The coffee came in a carafe on the table. My husband ordered the farmers omelet which was large and the raisin toast great. I opted for eggs, American fries and bacon which was prepared to my liking. I looked at...

My wife and I stayed for one week in January and had a great time. Rooms were clean and comfy. Service is awesome, rooms were cleaned and fresh towels each day. Perfect location when snowmobiling. Great food close by and gas station close by. Would recommend to anyone.

Wife and I passed by here on way to Whitefish Point and ate here. Small family run motel and restaraunt. Can't speak for the motel but the quaint little restaraunt was nice. Small but very friendly service. Menu was pleasing and very cheap. Food came out quickly. Salad bar was well stocked and colorful. Would recommend to eat here on...

I can't say anything about their motel but the restaurant had been recommended to us by a friend who frequents the area. This is the best restaurant that I have found so far in the UP. The food is fresh and tasty. The servers are friendly, even though the place was packed. We had the Friday night fish fry which...
