First of all, let me explain my title. It's for the better, no worries! Corfu is not a flat island. That's for sure. Finding a place where you could build a resort directly on a beach is nearly impossible. Therefore you have to use the landscape as it is and transform it without ruining it. And this is what happened here, at MarBella. I'll start with the beach. The beach, actually, does not exist in the classical form. It is something that a smart architect has put on the blueprint and someone built it. It's like a sandbox! With sunbeds and umbrellas, with a beach bar... but built on rocky shore. You can enter the water by stairs (stones or metal) or even by jumping in. Believe me, it's perfect. And then... you climb. First, there are some stairs. Not so many, but if you repeat this everyday for a week, it is something. Check your tracker! And you will get either to your room or to the first pools. Or some restaurants. For the main one, you still have to walk. A lot. And then, for the waterpark. There are no stairs to get to this point, but still you need to walk up the hill. And in the water park, of course, there is no elevator to get at the starting point of every water slide. Multiply this by three at least daily and by seven, the shortest stay. You'll get a significant number. I do not know the figures by heart, but I'm sure my watch was showing more than 50 floors daily. Everything seems new there. Clean, good taste. Great food. From breakfast to diner. (See, that's why is for the better to be constantly up and down all day!) Nice rooms, we had the sea view, it was fantastic. Recommend this place, no doubts!…
Having just returned from our stay at the Marbella we were bowled over by the whole experience. The staff were amazing and considerate, there was lots to do including lots of free activities especially in the evening. And the accommodation was good the overall hotel is definitely 5 star for Corfu. We went as a family with 2 teenage girls and we all enjoyed ourselves. We stayed half board which was breakfast and evening meal - which meant at lunchtime we could buy lunch at the pool bar or visit the local Tavernas on the beach. When we first arrived for breakfast and Tea the dining area was really pleasant but by the time we left the school holidays had started and it was really busy - I would suggest either go early or arrive at 9pm for a quieter experience. The food catered for everyone - there was a vegan/healthy corner - if food was vegetarian/milk free it was labelled. We asked for gluten free bread with our meal and they were able to cater for this. Each night had a different food theme and we loved it all. There was a lot of choice! Even the children had there own food section The beach was quieter than by the pools and also allowed us to snorkel and do the paddle boarding. There were day trips on the boat which we booked through Facebook (there is a board advertising these down on the beach). There is a free boat to Corfu town - but these book up quickly so arrange this with the hotel as soon as you can. Loved the pub quiz and also the aqua disco at 12pm in the pool. We stayed in the little apartments of the complex which were really nice. Air con worked which is a must as it was so hot. The evening entertainment was held outdoors each night which went on till 11pm and the bars were open till 1am. As we only paid for half board we had to pay for all Drinks and water which meant we paid for it all at the end of the holiday - in hind sight it may of been cheaper to go all inclusive - but then that would of tied us down to lunch and staying at the hotel. Would we go again - Yes!!…
From the moment we checked in, I could tell that this hotel was a bit different from the usual ‘all inclusives’. The staff were polite, helpful and could not do enough for us. The hotel was very clean and well presented. The food was delicious- we dined in the French, Greek, Pan-Asian and Beach restaurants, which were all booked for us. I’m a fussy git at the best of times, but I’m hard pushed to find anything about the hotel that I didn’t like! If you’re going, I’d recommend choosing the ultra all-inclusive package, with the cost of drinks and evening meals, it’ll pay for itself and some. Corfu town is accessible via the Green Bus service that picks up at the hotel, and it’s only a short ride away. I’d definitely return to Corfu, and if I did - this is where I’d stay.
Marbella Corfu- absolutely class, usually you find with an all inclusive, regardless of ratings and reviews, there is always flaws……. As a group of 3, there is barely a single thing we could pick up on negatively, absolutely brilliant, our second great holiday at this beautiful resort. To start, a great welcoming, bags collected from the transfer, beautiful reception area with great helpful staff, who speak perfect English. Our room was ready early, considering we arrived at around 11:30AM, very speedy. Our email to ask if we could be in the same room was followed through and we were in the exact room, which was immaculate and very spacious- a whirlpool suite with an amazing view, highly recommend that upgrade. The hotel has a fun little water park with surprisingly fast slides and ice cold water just to make it more fun! Pool is quite small and busy, but the decked beach is lovely with clear seas. All 3 meals were great, we booked breakfast in the Italian everyday for a sit down meal. Lunch was good at the beach restaurant although it got a little boring after a week, but to be expected. Evening meals- the buffet was pleasant, the Asian was really good, the French was extremely good with great meat and a very friendly manager and the beach restaurant was also great. The bar staff in the evening at the smaller lobby bar were brilliant at their job and entertaining to watch. There was also a great selection of drinks on the all inclusive package- which I recommend because of the price of drinks! My only little complaint is the water sports, something we find everywhere to be poor. All inclusive water sports are lacking, 2 working pedalos for around a thousand guests come on….. one was broken and I am sure it was broken 2 years ago too! Also the SUPs aren’t included, what’s that about? Also the presence of wasps, more could be done to ‘prevent’ them (traps and such). I can’t recommend highly enough though, brilliant stay, will almost definitely stay again.…
Its took us a wee while to get back on the holiday trail, so was a bit apprehensive but really we didn't have anything to worry about. This Hotel has welcome and respect all over it! from the reception to the bar staff were approachable, helpful and took out time to chat with everyone. the beach area is lovely with a promenade and foot steps down to what can only be described as 'amazing' sea, great for snorkeling and swimming ( just watch some steps can be slippy), there are two swimming pools and a water park for guests. The main buffet restaurant seems always to be busy and the al a carte Restaurants we enjoyed very much. The hotel rooms were adequate and cleaned everyday. Overall, we had a fantastic stay, weather was lovely and have no hesitation in recommending Marbella for your next holiday.…
Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The pools and beach area are a particular highlight with some easy snorkelling available in the crystal clear waters. Food is good throughout. The Italian and lunch at The Deck bring highlights - try the Gorgonzola risotto and the swordfish. Breakfast buffets are good too. We were all inclusive - prices would be steep if not on an AI deal. The evening boat trip and dinner at Paxinos was also fun. If you want a private boat trip, try Baros Yachts on Gouvia. Staff are all amazing. A fantastic team. No problem getting sun loungers either. The hotel has no doctor or pharmacy on site but they called out an English speaking doctor for us - he was great if a little expensive! Only a couple of downsides - the 2 bedroom suite wasn’t really two bedrooms. It was one bedroom with a twin room off the hall with no door. To be fair the hotel moved us to an amazing suite after a few days. The other is the wasps that are a bit of a nuisance - especially on the beach. But all in alll we had he a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend - particularly for families with pre teen children.…
The best hotel we’ve ever been to. This is the second time we have been here and we’ve had such a lovely time again! Our favourite restaurant is definitely the Italian! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is amazing! Constantina and Katrina couldn’t do enough for you! We couldn’t recommend this hotel enough.
We had a wonderful family holiday, our first experience of all inclusive which was superb. The snack menu at the beach and water park were always speedy and good quality. Cedric at the water park in particular is a credit to the resort. The ‘beach’ is a little misrepresented in the fact that it is essentially man made with decking, not a problem for us but isn’t made clear on booking. The bar staff were fantastic, and the ultra Option to vary the food is a great idea. Overall we had a great time and would return
I was encouraged to visit this hotel as the reviews appeared to be great. I found the reviews to be an accurate reflection of our visit. The hotel welcome was perfect, the receptionist treating us an individuals rather that as another customer. As an example of their efficiency, the hotel staff had pre-booked the al a'carte Restaurants for us which was greatly appreciated. We were booked on the Ultra All-Inclusive Package which I would recommend as the food & drink bills on the menus were high. The hotel was extremely clean with cleaning staff visible throughout the day. Every member of staff was helpful, friendly and eager to make our holiday a stay to remember. The room was cleaned every day by lovely staff who went about their duties in a friendly and unobtrusive manner. The restaurant staff were knowledgable and spent time with us at every restaurant. Our favourite meal was in the evening of the final day at the Deck Bar & Grill Beach Restaurant. In fairness, each of the restaurants provided a wonderful dining experience. The La Terrazzo Min Restaurant food was varied and of high quality, whether it was breakfast, lunch or evening meals, the latter meals being varied from day to day. The quality of the food was very high. Our visit was in October, so the pool water was cold but this did not prevent us from swimming every day. I saw now evidence that sun benches were being reserved by guests leaving towels on them and this was a pleasant surprise especially as the weather throughout the week was hot. Although we were told that the hotel was to capacity, at no time did it feel busy. I suppose that this was because there are several areas to relax, the beach, two large swimming pools, the aqua park, (which was great fun) and the seating areas throughout the hotel complex. Live nightly entertainment was provided in the M Bar on the ground floor which was a pleasant distraction. Although I saw pool aerobics on several occasions, there was no other forms of daytime entertainment but this could have been due the the lateness in the season. The hotel had a friendly welcoming feeling about it. Would I return to this hotel? The answer is a definite YES. Was there anything that could be improved? No. I felt the management have found the perfect balance of service set within a relaxed atmosphere.…
Beautiful hotel and grounds very clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and welcoming buffet restaurant food good excellent coffee ☕ we tried the pan Asian one was ok we didn't try other ones as we were happy with buffet. Plenty of sun loungers pools were too cold. Beach area very good service around pool/Beach excellent. Two downsides for us was location there is nowhere for a walk outside hotel it was quite isolated and now the kids way too many for me all that screaming and crying was just to much but that's just me apart from that everything was good. Unfortunately won't return as I've said above which is a shame as really Beautiful hotel. Water sports were fun and boat trip to corfu Town a must Plenty of shops etc .
