Newly renovated, luxurious lobby, pretty grounds, courteous staff. But, they're charging $150+ for rooms that are $80 quality. Rooms are small and outdated, mattress ancient. No refrigerator unless you ask. There were several maintenance issues including a clogged sink drain.More

I spent one night at this hotel after a lengthy trip. My luggage didn't make it but staff was happy to help with anything they could. Additionally, the room was comfy, the bed divine and the grounds were beautiful.
Golf course right on the grounds, and very inexpensive. Hotel was great, breakfast sit down or buffet was very good. Grounds are beautiful! Nice seating in the back with fire pits and heaters, was very relaxing.

I agree with the responder above. If you are flushed with cash, it is certainly better than the other floors. However, the entire hotel is well designed, and the concierge level simply adds a concierge room with lounging chairs, free newspapers, coffee, excellent hot breakfast. Calculate what breakfast for two downstairs would cost (probably $20-$30, and ask yourself if you are willing to pay $70 instead for the concierge level.
Traffic during student move in weekend. Also homecoming and sports events. Another high traffic time is during the Ann Arbor Art Fair. The first or second weekend in August. These are the traffic issues I was refering to.
