Mashkinonje Resort is located about 4 hours from downtown Toronto in a truly unique setting on the famous West Arm of Lake Nipissing adjacent to the majestical Mashkinonje Provincial Park. We are a road access resort with 12 unique self-contained cabins and a spectacular waterfront making us a premier Northern Ontario destination.
My Family stayed here last July (2015). We stayed in the Chalet and it was a great week! The Chalet is very comfortable and cozy. It is also away from all the action so you get a nice relaxing stay. The Fishing was out of this world! I caught numerous pike and a couple of Bass. Didn't get any Muskie but the week we were there someone caught a 48" Muskie. Lots of spots to the north and to the west to fish. Regan and Goldie (the owners) were awesome! Very knowledgeable about the area and always friendly. They make you feel at home. Will be returning there in the future as we had a great week and a great vacation.

Hi Rob, Glad you were here for a great fishing window! Also glad you liked the Chalet. It is a popular cottage. This year we just refinished the entire exterior (siding/soffit/facia/trim). Check out the new pics on our website. Looking forward to having you back in the future! Thanks for your business!

John, Always a pleasure hosting you and your family. Every time your here you seem to hit a great window for fishing action as well. Your son Rob still holds the Mashkinonje largest bass record by the way. That thing was between 7 and 8 lbs or sure! Looking forward to having you guys back again soon. We have a live band this year for our customer appreciation event so we hope you enjoy it. Best Regards,

Thanks for the review. A good point was made here which is to call in advance for your prefered cottages. Although all of our cottages are nice some are nicer than others. We have an array of cottages for needs and budget, but the nicest and newly renovated cottages tend to book up first and fast. Best!

The west arm of Lake Nipissing is beautiful and Mashkinonje Lodge is situated in an excellent location. It is a family-run lodge with much to offer: nice cabins, sandy beach area, boat rentals & fishing advice, free use of kayaks, etc. Regan and Goldie went out of their way to clean fish, host a fish fry, and even deliver baked goods from the local bakery.

Thanks for the review. One aspect of customer service we try to embrace is to go above and beyond for our customers. Each week our guests receive a freshly baked wild blueberry pie as well as an invitation to our customer appreciation night, which inlcudes a fish fry/BBQ and entertainment from our live band (The Backroad Brothers). The live band is something new we've added for 2016 and is a real hit so far. Best Regards and thank you for your business! Hope to see you back again soon.

Wonderful, hospitable camp owners. Accommodations served us well. Beautiful sunsets and great fishing! We loved having a lot of space at the Chalet. The owners hosted a fish fry mid-week and this was a very nice touch!

My husband, myself and our two dogs arrived at the lodge on a Sunday evening. The grocery store in Noelville was closed when we pulled up. We only had water with us. So we were hungry and no coffee creamer for the morning. Goldie was so gracious and gave us some half and half to use and not long after showed up at our door with a blueberry pie for us. This kind gesture was totally unexpected but is just the kind of thing for you to expect. Goldie, Regan and their son Russell were the perfect hosts and make you feel like family. They even had a fish fry and invited all the guest to eat and you could bring a side if you have one. We brought our 22 ft pontoon and there was no issues with getting it in or out and Regan put us at the stationary dock to accommodate it. Although we…

Hi Lori, Thankyou for the kind words. I remember launching Mike's pontoon boat LOL! That was by far the largest boat I've launched at our ramp but we seemed to get it in without a problem. We really hope you can join us again in the fall, figures crossed! Best!

We recently visited Mashkinonje Lodge on the West Arm of Lake Nipissing. The fishing on the West Arm really took us by surprise. Our group has fished Nipissing before (as well as many other locations) with good success but we never realized how great the fishing is on the West Arm. The scenery of the West Arm was second to none and our group caught more Walleye and Pike than any of our previous trips. I was surprised by the seclusion of the resort for a drive in lodge. We saw multiple moose, deer, bald eagles, etc. and very few boats. The shoreline seemed to be protected for miles with very few cottages and activity. I suppose this is because it's located in a provincial mark (Mashkinonje Provincial Park) The lodge itself is located on a beautiful property totally…

The hospitality was excellent, views were amazing, nice place to get away. The owners are new to the resort and are making mends with the challenges they have, to get the resort up to the quality they want it to be, bit by bit this is happening. Its is a rugged experience and could do with a bit more to make it a truly excellent family experience. Some things....towels, currently you need to bring your own towels for shower or dry off your hands, bit of a pain if you forgot to bring one. Soap......some little hotel soaps are handy when away on vacation. Dish soap...since the cabin are equipped with a full kitchen some dish soap would be handy as well. Its the little things that make a big difference. Unfortunately because of the work that is being done to get the resort up…

Thanks for the feedback and glad you had a great time! This particular post was made from opening weekend and as many lodge owners know, the time of opening is crazy hectic and sometimes minor loose ends are aparrant. This years opening was no exception as we just completed major renovations on 8 of our 11 cottages (to the customers delight!). As a result the "back 40" of our property may have been in a bit of disarray, but is cleaned up as of since. Also, towels are not included in our normal services but always available at request. We always strive to go above and beyond for our customers at Mashkinonje. We are glad you had a great time and look forward to having you back in August! Cheers!

we've been here at lake nipissing for the 4th time....the fishing is unbelievable, we're totally hooked into these bass, which we don't have over here....just being on a boat and don't have to walk the shores is awesome....the animals (so many different birds), the quietness, the fresh air, the rocks are a blast to me every time! campfire every night and cold beer is the perfect finale for a day on the boat! the only species we still need to catch is a musky... for the first time in 2014 we ran into goldie and regan as our hosts, which worked out perfectly! they're very nice and try to help you out with everything that would make your trip worthwile in every aspect! the cottages are clean and the rental - boats are easy to handle for the unexperienced shore - angler. if you want…
