For a last minute booking, this was surprisingly a good hotel for a great rate. It's steps from the beach and a great walking area. The room was large and clean. The staff from booking to departure were very nice. There was a continental breakfast which we were able to eat outside on the patio. We had a room with two double beds. The beds were quite firm. Our room was on the second floor with both interior and exterior access. We were steps from the stairs to bring our gear to and from the room. Lots of free parking spaces. My only recommendation is to bring your own pillows. Call the hotel directly to book your room versus going through a third party service.

A lovely motel style just steps from the beach. Extremely clean and comfortable. Very hardworking owners and staff! Everyone is very helpful and eager to do just about anything to make your stay perfect. A short walk from several fabulous restaurants. I can’t say enough about this motel!

The room, linens, bathroom, bar fridge and microwave were clean. Near the coat rack was a folding luggage rest that came in handy too. Room has heating/ac unit with full temperature control access also a recycling box next to trash can under the sink. Their lobby has an amazing DVD library. The large open lobby is where they provide a nice continental breakfast and it has many tables with a TV usually playing news. Also its located fairly central with so many places within walking distance like the marina, beaches, LCBO, and several restaurants, pubs, and stores that (at least all the ones we visited) were very good! Plus the staff & owners are very friendly which shows they take a great deal of pride ensuring the hotel is a cozy place to stay. Next trip up I'll definitely stay there again!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Leisure Inn for a few days starting on Canada Day. The room was big enough for two adults, with two comfortable double beds. The Wi-Fi was excellent, and the shower pressure... splendid. The location is super convenient, close to everything. One minute from the beach, two minutes from the marina, one minute to the LCBO across the street. Plenty of eateries around. There is the Good Food place at Main and Ferguson - a general store with a counter that offers burgers, pizza and deli sandwiches. We loved the takeout pizza from the Zah Pizzeria at 355 Main St - their Deluxe is spectacular. We had lunch at the Whiskeyjack brew pub at 485 Ferguson, on the patio. The brewery is next door, and they make great beer. We tried the Ta Beer Wit (Belgian white beer) and A Reason to Live - the wife finished hers first, so what more I can say. A few nuggets of entertainment. The ascent to the Devil's Rock was so rough and enjoyable: wear good hiking shoes or boots because the path can get wet. Luckily, anonymous volunteers marked alternate, less muddy, paths with coloured ribbons and made our hike... well, less muddy. Then the view of the Temiskaming lake from the Devil's Rock is breathtaking. A great reward for an arduous trek. Also, I had no idea that Haileybury is the home town of Leslie McFarlane, the ghostwriter of numerous Hardy Boys books. Look him up on Wikipedia. Haileybury was quite the place before the big fire of 1922. They had a team in the National Hockey Association. If you're there for more than a few days, New Liskeard (8 km away on a scenic road) is the place to shop for the things you're used to. There's an Independent Grocer and banks. Why do I mention banks? Because some smaller local places require cash (for example, the Good Food store and deli counter). It's also good practice to pay cash or debit to support the local businesses. As a half day trip, you can also go to Quebec and visit the other side of the lake. We plan to go back next summer, maybe for a whole week and try the fishing. Enjoy your trip!

Very clean room and breakfast area. The room looked exactly as in the photos posted by the owner. The beds and pillows were soft ( not suitable for all type of sleepers), but good for us. Additional item provided ,such as a food cover for the microwave. Option for visitors to eat in the breakfast area ( tables set-up 2 m apart & face covering signs posted around the inn).

We had two comfortable double beds. The washroom is small. Good location. We walked around the area. We were able to seat and eat our breakfast which was included. Place was recommended by a friend. We stayed on the second level. We booked our room ahead of time.

The location is perfect- great restaurants within the block and the beach literally beside the motel. Convenient to walk everywhere. The shower water pressure is amazing! Very clean room. Ernie the owner was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the modified continental breakfast (due to Covid) which is included, and also had fun selecting DVDs to watch for free. Quiet, calm and wonderful break by the lake. Would definitely return! Thanks!

A friend recommended this place ; and he was right ; it's a good place to stay in this little town . The room had two comfortable double beds ; it was very clean, so was the wash room. The linens are fine . There's a small fridge and a microwave in the room. They have hundreds of DVDs for free borrowing ... there's a communal BBQ free to use by all guests... and free continental breakfast included. . We we're on the second floor... I did not see an elevator .... if stairs are an issue ask for a ground floor . Adequate parking for cars and small trucks ... right in front of the room. If you're towing a boat it'll be tight but possibly you could leave it close by. The beautiful water front is a short stroll away. It's a modest place that fills it's role very nicely ... cost for two adults for 1 night was about $100 tax included ... they are busy so I recommend you reserve in advance

We stayed at the Leisure Inn in Haileybury in July (July 1-4, 2020) for a long awaited visit with family and friends. The hotel was an older-style motel and I wasn’t sure what to expect when we pulled up. I travel frequently for work and have stayed in some pretty impressive hotels across Canada. We were very pleasantly surprised! Ernie and Pam (owners) were welcoming and gracious, the motel was clean as a whistle, parking lot super clean, property well maintained, the bed was comfy, water pressure in the shower was awesome. Our room had a fridge which we appreciated because it was >30 Celsius every day. If I had to complain about something, it was that the a/c was a bit noisy—but nothing that kept us awake. As a side note, beautiful Lake Temiskaming is literally a stone’s throw from the motel and we made sure to walk along the water every day. The area is safe, quiet, and the waterfront has many attractions. It would be great for kids (we didn’t have any with us). There are a few choices for food close by (Are U Hungries, Country Style) but bear in mind this is not Toronto and the streets roll up at about 9pm. We had meals daily at our families’ homes. This motel exhibited small town charm and we actually enjoyed it more than many of the “chain” hotels we have stayed at. Overall amazing stay and we will definitely be back!
