Located near the airport, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Airport is lauded for its clean, comfortable rooms and a welcoming atmosphere, complete with enjoyable breakfast and evening receptions. While the hotel's location and shuttle services receive high marks for convenience, some guests have experienced issues with unexpected fees and room maintenance, slightly tarnishing its value proposition. Despite this, the staff's friendliness is often highlighted, although a few travelers have encountered less-than-stellar service.

We were pleased with the sanitation seal on the door and to see the supervisor inspecting the rooms after cleaning them placing the seal on the door as per Hilton regulations. Rooms spacious and comfortable I would have given a 5 except the desk clerk was not wearing a mask as mandated on Hilton app, the room air vents were filthy full of huge dustballs and our sink faucet came off. The spa and pool were really enjoyable and had limited access. Nice that only open to adults 10pm to midnight. . Breakfast was fantastic and they followed appropriate precautions. Jesus did a great job serving and cleaning. I felt bad for him when a woman came half an hour after breakfast had closed yelling and demanding she be given food and saying he only had a job because of people like her staying at the hotel, and threatening his job. He was only following the hotel rules. We also had a package that did not arrive and they accommodated and took the name of who would be picking it up the next day. Overall a great stay.

We stayed with 4 other families to celebrate the new year. The updated decor looked great. We’ve stayed in a number of Embassy Suites over the years, and we were disappointed in the happy hour snacks- just pretzels, popcorn, and chips/salsa. Last year at the Embassy Suites just a few miles to the west, we had veggies and artichoke dip, amongst other snacks.

The security policies during our stay were a joke. Numerous guests and children throughout the hotel were partying and running around the halls during the evening hours. A single security guard ran patrol around the balconies, swinging his finger to scold the kids. Later he and a manager “captured” our kids as they left a room after an hour of playing video games quietly. Meanwhile there were unsupervised kids in the pool and other guests throwing things over the balconies, smoking pot, etc. They cleared out the entire atrium area (including our group) for the countdown to keep everyone safe from guests throwing objects off the balconies. Hmm... why didn’t they just address the guests throwing TP and hot pockets off the balconies? I realize it’s a tough holiday to manage, but some consistencies in their communications to guests would have gone a long way.

I'm very sorry about your experience at our Hotel. It is Hilton's policy that all our staff make sure that the safety of our guest is a top priority. However, I truly apologize about the objects being thrown off the balcony as it was New Years Eve, and some of the guests were overzealous. Our security team was doing their best to keep order, and I'm sorry if it felt like your family was singled out. Please let us know how we can make things right. You can contact me at kelvin.vaye@hilton.com. Thank you again for staying with us here at Embassy Suites Minneapolis Airport.

We spent a night at the Embassy Suite near the MSP airport. The hotel offered plenty of free parking which was appreciated. We used the digital key function on the Hilton Honors app to open the door to our room so we didn’t even have to check in at the front desk. We had a king corner suite with a nice panoramic view. The seal on the door was to indicate the room was cleaned to covid standards. It felt good at first but then I noticed the windows were streaked, the microwave had fingerprints all over it and the refrigerator had some dried drips of something on it. One of the glasses by the bar was dirty (spots of some unknown substance that looked like tomato juice maybe).

We stopped by the front desk to ask for extra coffee and cups and we were assured housekeeping would bring them up to our room. We never received them.

We enjoyed the manager’s reception and the drinks. There used to be chips and salsa but this time only pretzels.

We ate dinner at Wooley’s. We had at least 4 staff members checking on us and it actually got quite annoying having to let 4 people know how our appetizers were, how our meals were, etc. I’m used to one server and maybe a manger checking on us but this was extreme. I felt I should have stood on my chair and announced that my food was fine (although, to be honest the baked potato tasted old and I am not a food snob at all). The bartender had a mask but it was below his nose most of the time. Very irritating to see that. (We have been here before and the same bartender had his mask below his nose then too.)

We reserved a time slot to use the pool. At first we had it to ourselves but then a group of 13 people came in, including a dog in a backpack. It didn’t appear to be a service dog. So even though the rules state pets are not allowed unless they are service animals, people sneak them in!

It was an okay stay but not top notch. I think we will try a different hotel next time.

Thank you for choosing Embassy Suites Minneapolis Airport, and thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. We strive to provide gracious, engaging and caring service; and as a Hilton Honors Member, you are among our most valued guests. Guest satisfaction is our number one priority. Unfortunately it seem we did not meet the standard of service you expect from us. I am so sorry you found your suite unsatisfactory. I can assure you that is not the standard in our hotel. We work hard to make sure our housekeepers keep each and every guest room and bathroom clean; and all maintenance issues corrected before checking guests into a suite, my apologies. Please let us know how we make it right. Best regards

We brought our own bottled water as the rooms had bottled water for $3 each and there was no way we were paying that. Well after checkout we were charged $6 for bottled water (and were not given a receipt for this) I called and asked about the charge, and the housekeeping supervisor Oleg refused to listen and was very rude about it. Refused to let me talk to anyone else about it. Yes, it’s only $6, but when it’s a dishonest charge I have an issue with it. With so many other options in the immediate area, I would never stay here again.

This was by far the worst Hilton experience I have had as a business traveler and Diamond member. I checked in on the app to the 10th floor but was moved to the 8th floor when I arrived to the hotel around 5pm. When I went in the room on the 8th floor, the sliding balcony door was stuck open! You would think housekeeping would have reported this! I was then moved to the 2nd floor. When I entered my room I went straight to the bathroom after a long travel day. To my own fault, I did not engage the security latch on my door and one of the male hotel employees entered my room unannounced while I was using the bathroom! When I complained to the front desk, I basically received a shoulder shrug as if it wasn’t a big deal. The hotel was full of kids running and screaming up and down the elevators and hallways until after midnight. Normally I wouldn’t care, but when you have a morning flight to catch, the noise is ridiculous. Cleanliness in the room was average but not up to Hilton standards. My coworker and I witnessed a man in the parking lot trying to open the doors on multiple cars. There is no security (that I could see) on-site and when we reported it to the front desk, the employee acted unconcerned. Only positive thing I can say from the whole experience was the restaurant food tasted great for dinner. Pick another hotel if you’re in town for business!

The check-in process was easy, with no wait. There's self parking, but this is a popular hotel, so the parking lot may be quite full. I was handed my keys, and up to the 7th floor we went. The middle of this hotel is a beautiful atrium with an eating area downstairs, and pretty glass elevators.
We got a one bedroom suite that was very spacious. There is a charge for wifi, unless you are a Hilton rewards member (which I am!) As active as this hotel is, the rooms are still quiet.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the breakfast is now individually made to order breakfasts, so you can wait for a long time in a LONG line, then you have to deal with people that get to the front and not know what they want, or people ordering 10 omelets even though there are only 3 people so they can take them to the room and eat all the food later (yeah, those kind of people!). For drinks, there is a person standing at a table that will get you what you want. But a made-to-order breakfast is enjoyable, but just know that good food takes time.
Our 2nd night there, there was a HUGE thunderstorm, so we stayed in the hotel restaurant/bar for dinner, Wooley's. There was just one server/bartender and a manager that was helping her. The service was very slow, and this one server/bartender had no sense of urgency whatsoever. She had dark hair, glasses and a foreign accent.
We ordered the shrimp/scallops risotto which we split. They split it in the kitchen for us, but then…..was delivered to the wrong table. The table it was delivered to came over to us and asked if we ordered it, and then gave it to us. That was nice, and honest of them. The truffle fries we ordered came 15 minutes after our entree was finished (even though we ordered both at the same time). We were so hesitant to order a dessert because we knew that would take forever too. But we did, and it was definitely worth the wait. The chocolate ganache cake is DEEEELISH! So the bottom line, the food and drinks were excellent, but the service very slow.
No regrets on getting a one bedroom suite. It had a little living room, and a small kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, and yes there is also a safe (my 3 favorite things!!) But all in all this is a great hotel for a stay before your flight, or comfortable place after a day of shopping.

The facility was in excellent condition, the staff was extremely helpful, caring, professional, and kind, and the free breakfast was very tasty. The pool and hot tub were relaxing and well taken care of. The hotel was perfectly located near the Mall of America and the interstate for easy access. A couple of my adult children stated that this was one of the nicest hotels they had stayed in.

My wife and I stayed here on Friday night before our Saturday morning flight to Aruba. Checked in early at 3 p.m room was clean no problems with being too cold or hot as with previous reviews. Complimentary beer, drinks and wine provided from 5:30-730, which was much appreciated to kick off our vacation right. The two men behind the bar were excellent and friendly! Chips and popcorn provided also. Shuttle in the morning left at 6 a.m and gave us an enjoyable ride to the main terminal. Hotel was very clean and also has an onsite restaurant Woolley's Steakhouse, which we also enjoyed. I would definitely stay here again!

Just stayed here for 3 nights for a family get away, almost 40 of us total with most of us having 3-5 children. The large rooms, made to order omelets and nightly happy hour made this place worth every penny of our stay. It was very nice being able to gather together every morning and evening and have somewhere that was friendly for all ages as we had such a large range. We took full advantage of the light rail, going to the MOA multiple times and to the US Bank stadium for a Vikings game. Even in a December blizzard the walk was not too far to make taking the light rail well worth our time.

My only complaint is their stinginess with pool towels. Each one of our kids had to separately wait in the line at the front desk wet and shivering to get a towel. They would not give more than one per person, so an adult couldn't go grab a stack for multiple children. Makes absolutely no sense to have kids dripping wet causing a safety issue getting the tile floors wet and slippery.

Great value if traveling with groups or children as breakfast is free every morning and there’s a light reception in the evening. There’s a large lobby and restaurant. The pool is small, fits about 35 people but it gets really busy with children. The chlorine is STRONG and gave me a headache. The rooms are lovely, the bed room is in it’s own space. The beds were very uncomfortable. The hotel is very noisy! My toilet was loud once flushed. You can hear people in the hallways or when their doors would slam shut, it was awful! I had room service and enjoyed the bread pudding. I asked for towels to be removed from my room twice and they never came. In conclusion, this hotel is for families or groups with children.

I stayed there back in July and they did have the happy hour and a cooked to order breakfast. Both were great! I did not use the pool so I cannot comment. Best thing to do is call the hotel directly. It was great went I stayed there even with covid going on.
