We have just returned from an overnight stay at Shrigley hall . The building and the grounds are very impressive . Overall we had a good stay but were very disappointed with our room . We had paid extra for a deluxe room, however the room we were given was very small, it was very hot and very dark ....

We booked here with our friends, to celebrate our birthdays. It was a Dinner, bed and breakfast deal for £99. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was very nice, standard, with en-suite, as you would expect. However, the major let down was the dining room. We were showed to a table at the back, to the side....

Well what can I say... We love the hotel, the grounds are beautiful. We returned for a complimentary stay after receiving shocking service last time, only to find months later not much had improved. The problem with the hotel is that the kitchen cannot cope with the level of service expected of the hotel. Waiting an hour between courses at...

Great venue - needs a few little maintenance updates (toilet seat straight please) to make a special stay. Single room was a good size with double bed and enough space for two. Country House splendour at a reasonable price.

Booked Shrigley Hall for birthday surprise. What a disaster!! Room was awful, wallpaper peeling from wall, furniture damaged and tatty, window dirty - could not see out!! Booked dinner, bed and breakfast. Dinner was terrible. Sent main course back three times because it was cold. Ended up with nothing to eat!!! The spa needed a complete over hall, and clean....

A warm welcome and efficient check in with room in annex. A long walk and tricky signage, to room in the attic. Tired but clean, space for seating , usual facilities and free wi if in room. Leisure facilities and spa but no availability for treatment or manicure at anytime during our three days which was a shame. John in...

We have stayed at Shrigley Hall a few times In the past and never been disappointed. However, this time was a total let down. We decided to book a night away for some rest and relaxation with the idea of a few spa treatments. We arrived early so we could enjoy a nice walk round the grounds and a few...

I could imagine what breakfast would be like when I went to the bar just after 9.30 last night and there were used plates etc on all the tables. I was told they'd finished serving and my only option was crisps or room service with minimum spend of £12.50 for a sandwich. Breakfast as many people on here have said...

We exterior of the building is pretty special, and in the evening the sun sets right over the golf course! It's well worth getting a drink and sitting out in the front come the evening. The room were very basic. They were clean and tidy, but had nothing special or unique to offer. The service throughout the hotel was equally...

The hotel is set in beautiful countryside, has a spa with pool and beauty treatments and golf course and is classed as a 4* hotel. The staff are very friendly and the resturant is really very good - especially the breakfast which is gorgeous. Free Wi-Fi was good but mobile phone signals a little erratic. The rooms are small and...
