We look forward to going to Nelson's Resort every year. The cabins are rustic, clean and homey. The owners treat the guests like family and that makes it special. The chef has a great menu, will take requests and do a great job. The shore lunches are always special. You can't beat the place - we love it!

The restaurant has a wonderful view of Crane Lake. There is a big garden adjacent to it which supplies fresh vegetables to the menu. We had a fantastic squash and mushroom soup, but the rest of the menu (and the food on it) was nice, but not particularly interesting.

This was my family's "go to" place to unwind and relax!!! I have traveled around the world in the last 60 years.... However, Nelson's is unsurpassed for a true vacation!!! The owner's exemplify "Minnesota Nice"!!!! Thank you for keeping it perfect for family time and an opportunity for a joyful getaway. There is nothing like sitting at the bow of...

we loved the place. cabins were built maybe in the 60's. some are older and some are newer. Most have kitchens. Some have their own dock. The people are some of the nicest, accommodating you will ever find .Get butch for a guide and he will put you on some fish. very entertaining too.

I stayed with my parents, brother and sister-in-law at the Big House cabin at Nelson's this past week, and it was fantastic, as always! We have now returned to Nelson's 6 times to vacation, and are never disappointed with the experience. If you're into hiking, I would recommend the hike to the beaver dam. It is a rigorous hike, but...

We had a guys (3 generations) of family up there for a week of fishing and great fun. Although the bugs were horrible at this time of year the fishing was great and the experience was fantastic. Been coming up here for 33 years and can't wait to come back again next year.

Our party of four did not stay at Nelson's. It was recommended to us by a shopworker in Orr as a nice place to have lunch before we headed out of the Crane Lake area for an extended camping weekend in Voyageurs National Park. We had lunch on the restaurant deck, and it was delightful. Attentive and friendly service, good...

June 2014 Our party of 3 spent one week at Nelson's resort for fishing. We were given a guide for a day at a cost of $375. Upon our departure our bill cosisted of an additional $56. for fuel and $20. for bait. When asking why the additional charges we were told the guide added fuel and bait to our...

I'm sorry that we had confusion over the guide pricing with this party, it was not our intention to mislead them or any other costumer. Our guides are self- employed and set their own prices and with the many different lakes and options that they can take their clients it would be unfair to include the fuel and bait costs...
