This is the worst cabin I've ever stayed at. #1 it reeked of urine, #2 the bathroom was so small, you had to sit sideways on the toilet, # 3 the metal bed frame was so old and rickety, you couldn't move with out waking up your spouse. The toilet leaked at the bottom (hence the smell), the toilet tank...

We just needed a place to lay our heads. The room was OK for that. The beds were kind of like a canyon and the shower was falling apart. Carpet looked dirty and the bed spread was ripped. Nice location, inexpensive for peak season and they had a community fire pit. I would stay there again.

Our first visit and not our last. our cabin was cozy and clean, we enjoyed sitting by the camp fire and grilling out. Location was perfect between Duluth & Two Habors. Great boat access to Lake superior. We felt completely welcome & look forward to returning again. Will definitely recommand to friends & family.

Well, the beds were comfy! Heater worked well. It ends there. I don't like being negative so that's why I began on a positive note. I think the owners are trying to bring the facility up to modern standards but they have a long journey. Lots of rot on the window sills, old steel bed frames in some cabins, rags...

We have stayed here the past 2 summers. Our cabin was perfect. We had everything we needed...we could wake up, make breakfast, take a walk over to the Harbor and it is Dog friendly!!! The cabins are very clean and comfortable. Love sitting by the bonfire after a day of being tourists. We will stay nowhere else when we come...

Quaint cabins just like "back in the day!" Our Daughters gave the playground two thumbs up! The friendly host even made sure our coffee was ready before we woke! We set out to show our girls the simple joys of nature and an unplugged life! Gardenwood was perfect!

We came to Gardenwood for a mini family reunion. There were 10 people and 5 dogs. This was one of the few places that would allow pets. The cabins were tiny and needed some updating, but they were cozy and clean. This was the second year we went up there and enjoyed it just as much this year as last....

According to the locals, his little resort is under renovation. Our stay in tiny (approx 12 x 14) Cabin 14 was as we expected. Cabin was tiny, warm and clean. We stayed with our dogs and enjoyed it. We could have selected a more expensive place to stay, but this suited us just fine. near the lake, near Duluth, nice...

The staff at this resort was very helpful. We had issues with the fridge and the cabin heater in cabin #11 but the staff got over there immediately to give us a back up fridge and got the heater working. The only complaint was that the futon in this cabin smelled moldy and disgusting and had stains on it. The...

“We were in #24--one of the motel units and it was fine. Perhaps an end unit would have better views if choosing one of the motel units.”
