Great hotel!! Rooms are very clean and the view is wonderful! Would recommend the canal view, it has the view of the Aerial Lift Bridge and the cargo ships coming and going. Close to shops and restaurants, and canal park. The staff was very helpful and nice, especially Robin at the front desk. Definitely will be back in the future!

I booked this place on a limb as my husband decided last minute he wanted to join some friends on a smelting trip in Duluth. Coincidentally, this place was situated right behind their smelting location! So when our sons and I grew tired we just walked back to the inn to relax. The inn was very clean, staff very nice...

This isn't a chain hotel. It's small & personal, right on the water. Our favorite place to stay in Duluth. It's fun to get a room with windows that face both directions. Single view (harbor or lake) rooms are lovely as well. Only drawback this visit was that the internet wasn't working well so maybe look into that before you...

A last minute plan to get away to Duluth for the weekend landed us at this gem, South Pier Inn. We had a wonderful view of the Aerial Lift Bridge from our living room hot tub - right next to the fireplace....quite romantic. Canal Park shopping and restaurants were a short walk away. Staff members were friendly and helpful. We...

We have stayed here several years in a row. I enjoy seeing the owner onsite each morning. It shows that they really care about the property. It is clean and well maintained. We plan to return again this summer.

My husband & I were on our way to a 4-day North Shore vacation, but wanted a shorter drive on Day 1, so booked the off-season weekday deal for a 2-room waterfront suite @ South Pier Inn. We had stayed there one time before in a 1-room waterfront & absolutely loved it, so always wanted to come back. Both the...

There is a magical quality to this property. It is at the base of the Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge, and I love coming in at night, when the bridge is lit up like a golden-glowing castle. South Pier has a variety of rooms and different rates, so it's affordable for such a beautiful place. We like to get a room...

We travel a lot and South Pier is one of our favorite places to stay - it is always our first lodging choice for a trip to Duluth. In mid February we spent 3 nights in a waterfront suite. Between the lake, the view, the lift-bridge, the boats right outside your window (in summer), the short walk to Canal Park,...

We spent the weekend here while were in Duluth for our daughter's competition. Canal Park was either all booked or the rooms available were terribly overpriced for a pretty standard room. I found this place right on Park Point just outside of the crowds and congestion of Canal Park and the price for a suite was very reasonable. It has...
