Nice clean cabins, top notch pontoon with cabin, best location on Shagawa lake. Bernie, Liz, the boys and crew are fabulous. Shagawa lake has something for everyone...fishing, swimming, etc. A lot of smallmouth, northern and walleye. Lots of good restaurants in Ely or cook your own in the cabin, or on the grill outside your cabin.

Bernie and all of his family and staff are wonderful people. We stayed here in cabin 2 for a week. The cabin was clean and just the right size for my husband, our 4 year old, the pack-and-play held our 1 year old and the dog! The best yet, it was really reasonable- 800$ for the cabin, dog fee, free...

We really enjoyed our stay at Lady Bug Lodge. It was a simple and convenient place to stay, just minutes from downtown Ely. And what we especially enjoyed was having our own pontoon. This allowed us to strike the perfect balance between recreational and educational. Each day we were able to fish, swim, kayak, etc. and then later explore the...

Second time staying here and we are going back this year. The cabins are nice and clean and the pontoon boat that comes with your cabin is a very nice bonus. Very relaxing vacation.

This was our first time staying in the area and enjoyed our trip immensely. The staff at Lady Bug was very accomodating. Our cabin was a one bedroom that sat up on the hill but we were able to view the lake from our cabin on our deck. The pontoon was an added bonus, though we did not have the...

We have been going to Ely Mn for the last 8yrs for fishing. We rented the same cabin for 6 yrs, tried a different one in 2007 and then found LadyBug in 2008. I am happy to say we have ended our search for the perfect fishing vacation. The owners are very friendly people. Very helpful, they even asked if...

Wife and I stayed at the resort for a short week, mainly due to the inclement weather which is natural for that time of year. We have no complaints about anything at the resort. Staff was great in all ways, the pontoon was a great addition, so we didn't have to pull the boat all the way from home. We...

My husband and I stayed for a week at Lady Bug Lodge and had a wonderful time! We are returning in 2007 as well. The pontoon boat that came with the cabin was a tremendous perk (although the fishing was not good for us--our fault, not the lodge owners--they were more than helpful and offer guide service as well). We...

This is the second year that my husband and I have stayed at the Ladybug Lodge, and we hope to stay here again next year. The cabin we stayed in is located right on the water so we could hear the loons calling during the night. We made good use of the pontoon boat and kayaked the Burntside River -...

We stayed 6 nights and 5 days at Lady Bug Lodge. The cabin had been redone for 2006 and it was very nice. The fishing, while not so good for us was very good for everyone else so I will blame ourselves on this shortcoming. The owners were very gracious and accomodating. We enjoyed the place so much we are...
