Group of ten friends arrived unannounced and were made to feel most welcome, no problem fitting us in around other customers. Great choice of food, standard menu & daily specials, ten cleared plates & ten happy customers. Service with a smile, great food, and excellent value for money.

We haven't stayed here - restaurant review only. . We had heard great reviews from friends about the food at the Cottage since John and Melissa took over in Nov 2015 so jumped at the chance of a Thai themed meal for £12. Although the hosts are undoubtedly very enthusiastic about their food and service, unfortunately the evening didn't live...

I had a very frendly welcome, a good country pub. A nice meal, with good beer. I was made to feel very welcome after a day on the road. I was only passing through for one night but it worked very well for me.

I found The Cottage Inn by accident after searching laterooms and must say I was very happy that I did. The rooms are very well priced and extremely comfortable. The rooms are accommodation only but there are plenty of takeaway leaflets if you don't wish to go out. Chrissie and Frank are very friendly and give the pub a great...

The Cottage Inn was a friendly, warm and homely place to stay, the couple who owned the hotel were very helpful with places to visit and local pub restaurants to have meals in the evening. The room that we stayed in was big, lovely, clean and warm, the four poster bed was very comfortable and we had the best nights...

A warm welcome and friendly landlady the rooms are big, clean and cheap. Wifi is free with a good connection which is always a bonus as so many of them charge now. It is room only but at 35 pound a night that's a bargin.

We had a lovely room and a very nice shower, but were very disappointed that there was no food available. We had travelled a long way and were very tired and hungry. We had booked, via an agent and had understood that we were getting bed and breakfast, so were rather disappointed.

We are so sorry that the couple were disappointed with their stay here. It is very rare that people misread the LRs website or our own publicised literature on the Cottage Inn site. We advertise that we are ‘Accommodation Only’ this is why the prices of our rooms are so low. For an offer price of £49.50, Mr & Mrs...

We stayed here for a family wedding down the road. We booked 3 rooms and all were excellent. Chrissy the landlady is very welcoming. Very happy with stay and reasonable room rates. Hope we find an excuse to stay here again!

This friendly pub is found in the village of Wembdon on the edge of the picturesque Quantock Hills (England's first designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and 2 miles from Bridgwater town centre. It is a good traditional pub with real ales. There are picnic tables where you can enjoy a drink in the sunshine or inside by the log fire on chilly days and nights.
