We stayed here this summer and were pleased with the room and the warm hospitality. It was great for our small family. My daughter and I stayed here again last week in a different room. We frequent Lanesboro a few times a year and this place has a few different rooms with 2 beds, they allow children, and the owner... More

This is a unique motel, more like a B and B, except no breakfast. It is a quaint house in a small town near the Root River Rail to Trail. The hostess, Drue, is warm and welcoming and provides everything you could possibly want. We enjoyed sitting outside, enjoying the lovely flowers in the yard, or in the lobby, where... More

My husband and I stayed at A Guest Hus back in the early 90s when we biked in Lanesboro. After too long of a hiatus from biking and weekend trips, we returned to Lanesboro and A Guest Hus in 2015, and again this summer. As always the stay was fabulous and Drue as the new innkeeper is wonderful. The rooms... More

My husband and I spent a couple nights here during a recent bicycling stay. We chose the location based on TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. This is a "B" rather than a B&B -- as in a room w/no breakfast. But it has the warmth of a B&B thanks to the proprietor, Drue. She is delightful. She was committed... More

My husband and I stayed in Cabin #3 for a couple of nights this past July. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and simple "Up North" style cabin. Spent our days biking the beautiful Root River Trail and walked in the evening to the local restaurants. Our car never moved between arrival and departure! The cabin was clean and covered all... We spent the 4th of July weekend with A Guest Hus and highly recommend it! Drue was warm and welcoming. In addition to the rooms in the main Guest Hus, she has recently started offering two small cabins for lodging. The cabins are 1.5 blocks from the main building and very charming. We brought our yellow lab along for the... More

We stayed at the Guest Hus for 2 nights over Memorial Day weekend. Drue was accommodating, informative and friendly. She welcomed the kids and the dog without hesitation and had flowers waiting for us in our room. Shower were hot, sheets were clean and the beds were comfy. It is a short walk into town and a stones throw to... More

Clean, welcoming, affordable and dog friendly. Nothing fancy but comfortable with a wonderful hostess who went out of her way to accommodate us. Would have appreciated a little better bed and maybe cotton bedding (anything not so hot and slippery) but our own private little porch and the great spirit of the place more than made up for it! Would... More

Thanks for your great review. We loved having you and your wonderful dogs Carlos and Gracie! You'll be pleased to know that replacing all the mattresses is on the docket for 2016 and, great minds think alike! - our current sheet sets are either cotton or microfiber and I have been considering your very idea of going all cotton. Thanks... More

We found our room to be comfortable and clean. All the units have a private entry and private bath. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The units do not have a coffee maker, microwave or fridge. However these items are available for use in the office area. There is a locked garage to keep your bikes secure... More
