We were so unhappy with our stay here! Our friends had their wedding here (which was beautiful) but the resort insisted we stay 2 night minimum which we just couldn't afford. So the bride (since the resort was no help) said there was the lutsen mountain inn we could stay at that allowed for a one night stay. We looked...

We understand your disappointment that you did not stay at our resort for your friend's wedding. During our busy summer season we do have a two-night policy over the weekend and so were unable to reserve a one-night stay for you. I am puzzled at your description of the breakfast as the standard continental breakfast which is included in the...

Fell upon Lutsen Resort on our way further north. WILL go back. Beautiful view in Lake Superior. Hiking. Canoeing. Sat by a fire on the shore. Cabin toe home was very nice and large enough to accommodate my large family(8 children), with kitchen and dining area, as well as grill and dining on the deck. Gorgeous sunset and sunrise. Restaurant...

nice would stay again. Liked the amenities attached with the lodge which is right on the lake shore with a river emptying into the lake. Liked the walk across the river to get to the lodge. bar, food, music, fires by the lake, s'mores all in a old lodge with tons of character but plenty of amenities, pool, shuffleboard, activities....

Having come to the Lutsen Resort with my on a family ski trip decades ago, I was anxious to return. I was not let down. I love the "old lodge" feel of this place. It's a little worn on the edges, but that kind of adds to the charm, in my opinion. The staff was very helpful, especially when it...

This is one of our favorite places to stay on the North Shore. The ambiance is amazing. Walking into the lobby just brings immediate relaxation. Staff is attentive, rooms comfortable, scenery outstanding, restaurants good and just a very special place to enjoy the North Shore.

We were driving up Minnesota’s scenic North Shore (Highway 61). I had read about the Lutsen Resort and wanted to check it out. We made a reservation for the following night. The staff here is friendly and helpful. The check in and check out process was easy. Our room was not in the main lodge but in the Poplar River...

Lutsen resort is a lovely, quaint hotel right on Lake Superior. There's a massive fireplace in the cozy lobby, which looks right onto the very nearby lake. Rooms are basic, as are the restaurants, but the ambiance is classic. Very nice heated indoor pool and hot tub as well.

Staying here for the first time this evening. Check in was professional and pleasant. This old resort lodge sits right on Lake Superior at the confluence of the Poplar River. I noticed they have kayaks for rent but I will not be using in spite of it being a gorgeous late April day. I chose the Lakeview King room. The...

If you are making the beautiful trip along the north shore, you really need to stop and stay at least one night at Lutsen Resort. They have a lot of properties to choose from. Or you can stay in their beautiful lodge. The restaurant is top notch. It has glass plate windows over looking Lake Superior. There is a big...

My dad and I stayed here on a father daughter ski trip and we couldn't have been happier. We loved our cozy, cabin like room. The views of the lake were breathtaking (I think we talked about it at least five time a day) and the live music, fireplace and accommodating staff made it all that much better!
