First, the good: The room we stayed in at Caribou Highlands was in an *excellent* location. It was merely a 60' walk from our door to a groomed catwalk, which was excellent for sleeping in a bit, but still getting on one of the very first chairs of the day, and being able to come in for a quick afternoon...

My wife and I have been coming here for years...at all times of the year and we've never been disappointed. Nice rooms, great mountain view (obviously from the mountain view rooms), fabulous food and a wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant features a restaurant that serves very good food. Moguls lounge is a great north woods feeling bar that...

We love spending time at Caribou Highlands. We have gone with friends, and just my husband and I have stayed there. It is on our list of things we want to do any time of the year. We take advantage of the special prices that you offer.

Enjoyed the location and staff during our visit to explore hiking trails nearby! Close to local restaurants and entertainment also. Easy to find and travel north or south along scenic north shore drive!

We found this to be a great place to stay for a ski weekend at Lutsen. We stayed at the main lodge, which was convenient to both the shuttle (it stops right outside), the ski lockers (again, right outside), and the bar and restaurant which are downstairs in the same building. The staff were friendly and personable, and they knew...

Check-in was quick and the front desk personnel was friendly. The 2-bedroom condo was clean and accommodated our family of 5 very comfortably. Because our trip was so short (only 2 days) we did not utilize the hot tub or the ski in/ski out path so we are unable to rate those areas. We dined in the restaurant both nights...

Booked a condo for two nights while traveling up the north shore on a waterfalls and hiking trip. The room was wonderful. Kept a fire in the fireplace whenever we were in our condo. Great mountain view. The down side was the paper thin walls. Heard everything. Conversations and footsteps upstairs, people walking in the hall, music next door, etc....

“We have stayed in several different room types from the lodge to the various condos--all have been great! although we really like the condos with a full kitchen and our own fireplace. Some of the larger condo units are not connected to the main facility where the bar/lounge and pool are located. However the resort does have a shuttle to bring you back/forth.”

“We stayed in a suite with a loft which was great for the kids plus we cooked our own meals which helped our cost a bit. We still visited local restaurants but only once a day instead of 3 times a day! ”
