The hotel is really spread out over a big area and if you get a room on the other and you have a lot of walking to do to get to the casino. The rooms were clean, but a bit cramped, but they did have nice refrigerators and microwaves in a decent size TV. Maid service did not come freshen up our room after a day, and I think they should do that without us asking. There were barking dogs in some of the rooms, and there was a domestic dispute, and we had to call security because of all the yelling. I never encountered that before so I think some of the clientele is a bit sketchy. Casino is very nice and it was smoke free, which is very unusual for native American casino outstate. Most of the Native American casinos, Outstate Minnesota are smoking, so this was really nice. If you sign up for their loyalty card, you get $10 slot machine play for free which was nice and they had some nice drawings that you could sign up for at the card kiosk. So, despite the problems, the real reason I come to these places is for the casino, and it was a very pleasant smoke free experience. My friend won $1000 on a slot machine so that also helped make it a nice trip.

Our family (8 people, 3 generations) reserved 3 rooms for 3 nights. We chose to stay at the casino hotel because it was close to other family who we were visiting in the area.
The rooms were OK, but not the quality we expected. Bathroom tub/shower had no grab bars, and no bathmat was provided.
Restaurant was also disappointing. We went to breakfast at 9am. Caramel rolls were on the menu, so we ordered them for everyone. However, the waiter said they were out. We wondered how they could be out of them by 9 am on a Saturday morning. No dinner meals were available. Only burgers and sandwiches.
Do not plan to stay there again.

Stayed and played here for a night. The casino is nice and clean and the drinks from the bar are cheap and delicious! There was live music the night we were there that really made for a good time! Never have I had so much fun losing so much money! The buffet had prime rib which was good but not much else which made it pricey and disappointing. The room was in the annex and was very plain and underwhelming for a casino. All the staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly!

My husband and I paid $34 plus tax for the worst excuse for a Sunday brunch buffet ever. To begin, they had hot water in the coffee machine, but no tea bags. When asked for, none could be found. My carton of milk was outdated by a week. The food was all luke warm at best. The only thing fresh was the salad, and their idea of fresh fruit came from a can. Everything appeared to be packaged, thawed and served. Wait...the bacon was OK. However, his chicken was undercooked and bloody in the middle. As my husband said that's a lot to pay for a cup of coffee and bowl of ice cream. Even the peanuts for the ice cream were stale. And who has a breakfast buffet with kiddie boxes of fruit juice? If you can't do it right, you shouldn't do it at all. Huge, HUGE waste of money. Sorry we made this a stop on our travels. But not Sorry, it pays to warn people ahead of time. Wish someone had warned us. And just so you know, this is the first bad review I've ever written about a restaurant. I didn't think it was possible to screw up breakfast, but they proved me wrong. We had breakfast buffets in China that were far superior to that, and it breaks my heart to say that. China...for God's sake. I'm a pretty laid back person, but this truly was awful.

Some friends, my wife and I went here for the Wild Rice Round Up convention. This was a very nice hotel and casino. We stayed in a jacuzzi suite that had a very large two person jacuzzi tub. The hotel is huge and the casino was, well a casino. You go in, give them your money then leave. The gift shop was great. I purchased a very nice hat that I thought would be at least $50, but to my surprise it was only $12! My wife purchased a very nice top as well. It was a nice weekend getaway for us.

This is a typical casino experience with the terrible addition of lots of crackheads loitering about trying to sell and/or buy drugs. The rooms are disgusting and there is no housekeeping during your stay unless you request it. But the worst part is the customer service - it doesn't exist. With the exception of maybe two employees, they are completely disinterested in providing any kind of friendly and helpful service. It was like they couldn't care less if you were there or not. I will not be staying there again. Try to find an AirBnB if you can.

We checked into our room #2311 Christmas Day of 20223 around 5pm . The gambling was so tight we were up in our room by 10 pm. I was sitting at the table doing some work while my husband flew out of bed around 11:20 tonight. He was getting bit by bugs I’ve noticed 4 or 5 crawling on the bed. I’m completely disgusted and we are going to leave and make the 4 hour drive home. So Gross! What a waste of our time.

We drove 1 1/2 hours to have a nice evening with a crab leg dinner. We called prior to leaving home to make sure they were available and were assured they were. When we arrived we were told they were not going to serve them. It would be a turkey dinner instead. We were told they changed their mind today. This is horrible management. They can't be trusted in the future so stay away. I won't be going back.

The room was ok but the rest you could just say OK. The people were not friendly. When we checked in the woman who checked us acted like we were disrupting her day. Well kiss my A@%. I almost said "Lets go some where else."

Good place for the value. I had read some of the negative reviews, and even tried to cancel because if it, but my wife and I found the room spacious and clean. The rooms were private and quiet. We didn't gamble so the face that we were not close to the casino was fine. I would stay there again.

That is a difficult question to answer without knowing where you are! Your best bet is to do a google search for 'bus tour to Shooting Star' ... hopefully you will get a few results with at least one with information you are looking for. Good Luck !
