This hostel has poor business ethics and I would not recommend it to anyone. I have now been waiting on a refund of 254 dollars for over a month and a half even though I have called the hostel over 10 times and spoken to them in person. The owner is completely unresponsive to my inquiries and I have had...

I spent 3 nights at MIH, my first night was a bit odd, I had a pricate room with six beds and it made me feel bad for having all those beds just for me, but I was informed that the other private rooms where taken and that would be no problem to use all that space just for me....

The staff was a great start for my first hostel stay. The location is just outside of the rougher part of town but on an art school campus. Very quiet and laid back. I would definitely come back and stay here again!!

Having stayed at various hostels including New York, Los Angeles, Montreal, Seattle, and New Orleans, I can speak to the quality of this lodging in the Twin Cities. First, the location is indeed very convenient to local bus transportation to downtown Minneapolis as well as nearby dining options on "Eat Street." I loved that this hostel is adjacent to a...

This place looks like and is run like a decent hostel, but priced like a mid-level hotel. I was disappointed in the quality of the rooms for what we paid--our queen single/private bath was located in the basement, and the room was about 80% finished--the lighting fixtures were only half installed, there were no baseboards, and the construction of the...

The location is tremendous, the hostel itself is great, and the staff is uber-friendly. I felt very welcomed and at ease during my stay. In addition, I had many interesting conversations with Steve and the other hostel guests, which always makes for a good time :)

This hostel is clean, quiet, has free fast wifi, spacious dorms, very friendly staff, and is in an awesome and safe location. The bathrooms leave a little to be desired but it looks like they're in the process of renovating. However, it is REALLY expensive, as far as hostels go. But since this is the only hostel in Minneapolis I...

We had reservations for a private room with a private bath. We arrived to check-in at 11:30 AM, but no one answered the door. After waiting for 10 minutes, someone came to the door and they checked us in. They alsotook copies of credit card and driver's license. When she took us to our room, the room was still occupied...
