I have not stayed at this motel, however I think it has been unfairly judged. I went into the reception a week ago and asked to see the rooms for short term/daily rent. The units showed to me were fairly clean, judging from the age of the building. The location is near perfect, across the road from the lake. The building does look old, but I was shown the renovations being done to bring it up to standard. The people at the reception desk were very friendly and open. I think that the long stays are making the place look trashy and dirty. The picture on their brochure must have been taken a long time ago because the motel does not look anything like it. All in all I think that there are more positives.

Enjoyed our stay.Owners very accommodating.Limited dishes&pots.Big fridge&stove.Dated&rustic. Good shower,1 bed lower2 upper with bathroom. Docking at front unsheltered. Free public launch a few hundred meters away. All amenities close by including restaurants &bars.Beautiful area with very clean water. Well geared for ice fishing,we had to go to Canadian Tire for bait and fishing supplies.Water temp was70 degrees &we had a good fish cleaning station.Fishing we found out is good year round. We will try again in the spring of 2020.Easy access from 404l and it was a two and a half trip from London On.

This motel is a dump! Very misleading website. The entire grounds were strewn with the personal belongings of people living there on a permanent basis it seems. There were also the materials from two other rooms being gutted and old appliances and furniture piled outside. The permanent renters in the unit next door were outside about every hour almost all night with lights on and smoking like chimneys. You could smell the smoke every time. It was so cold in the room even with the two heaters on that I had to leave at 4:30 in the morning. When I called the next day to explain the situation and cancel the rest of my booking, the motel clerk claimed to not understand what I was telling him. This place is not what they claim it to be. Spare yourself the nightmare.

Full of mold, paint job is horrible, paint all over the floor. Such rude service, took our deposit, and ot was overall the worst experience. Save your money cause this isnt an inn, its basically a filthy pit. You guys are savage charging such 100 dollads a night. 20 would be generous

I stayed from Tuesday 17 to Friday 20 August 2021. Exceptional visit. It was more than just a motel room it was more a suite. Very spacious. Beautiful hygienic bathroom and kitchen. Kitchen equipped with everything a visitor might need. Full size fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, plates, pots and pans. A visitor could not ask for more. Staff friendly and efficient. I would recommend this economically priced motel to anyone seeking some where to stay in Keswick/Georgian area. I have stayed here on a number of occasions and it gets better every time. Excellent value. New cable TV with several free specialty channels is a bonus.

we went this past weekend, I was told there were a beach 10 minutes walk, but there was not there were a little park 2 minutes walk and it was fine for my 4 year old to at least take a bath and play. The only beach Willow...is only for residents, you can't park because you can be fine of 100$, the hotel was fine, the bathroom was recently renovated although the unit room 4 had a very old a/c which sound was despicable, there is no carpet and new floors although they are not properly cleaned, sheets are dark and noisy beds. in front of the inn, there is a private area for residents, all fenced out so if you are having your bbq you can hear the party from those residents...Keswick is not a tourist friendly area and it was very dissapointed for me and family. Better go to Wasaga.. or other beaches instead.
Also there are regular residents in the hotel, people that are living there for 1 year or since covid started, they were very friendly, nice.

This is a really bad place to stay. The website is very misleading. The room was horribly smelly, smoke imbedded in all the greasy furnishings including the beds. The yard lights shine directly into the room through filthy, flimsy blinds, so the room is bathed in light until 6 a.m. when they then shut off! I know this because I was unable to sleep due to the incredibly noisy air-conditioner & the stinky mattress & pillow. We chose it because it was the only place in town, basically, but would never stay here again, would rather spend time commuting. Also, the woman was surly at check-in & our room was never cleaned in the 2 days we stayed. It's cheap & the tv is new, but that's all you can say that's positive. Although, I guess we're lucky it didn't have bugs.

This place is absolutely gross the room i had was full of mold fridge was noisy as can be heat only works on one setting very hot) tv was an old tube tv with no remote half the appliances didn't work bathroom was gross and room rarely got cleaned. On top of all this the owners refused the fix anything wrong with the room and I ended up getting extremely sick from the mold in the room. In case the owners try to claim this isn't the same place its right across the street from a fenced off private waterfront area and the owners are Russians who barely understand English

Response from Anna K, Owner at Inn on the Lake
Responded Nov 17, 2014
There was no guest by the name ‘Anthony G.’ registered at our Inn in November 2014 nor a guest staying for a longer time (the statement ‘room rarely got cleaned’ suggests extended, not overnight stay), so this review looks more like someone’s attempt to defame us rather than a true review of a guest who didn’t like our Inn. Nobody in November reported to us any problems with heating, not working room equipment, missing tv remote, noisy fridge, mold etc. We always address and try to resolve guests’ concerns as soon as possible, so accusation that we ‘refused the fix anything wrong’ is simply untrue. And finally – we are not Russians (does it really matter to a guest? It’s a discrimination to form an opinion about someone based on his origin) and we do speak and understand English. We can only guess why someone pretending to be ‘Anthony G.’ and/or pretending to be Inn’s guest posted such a mean review…

This hotel was awful. So disappointed when we arrived. The location is wonderful but the rest leaves something to be desired. Room smelled smoky, was quite noticeably dirty and was not even ready when I arrived. There seems to be some people who make this their long term home, who were a little strange at best. Not sure if the people who made positive reviews were staying somewhere else, or are friends of the owner but I do not see any truth whatsoever in their reviews. I personally will not be back and would encourage others to steer clear as well.

Response from Anna K, Owner at Inn on the Lake
Responded Nov 19, 2013
We greatly appreciate any comments or concerns regarding our Inn, however they work best when brought to our attention right on the spot, not posted months after. Although all our rooms are non-smoking, it could have happened that the previous guest ignored smoking restrictions and left room smelling smoky. It takes time to get rid of the smell and in the meantime we could have offered another room, had problem been reported to us. Also, it might have happened that the room was not ready at the time of guest arrival, especially when early check-in was requested. But it’s highly unlikely that room was ‘quite noticeably’ dirty, as the room cleanliness is our top priority. We leave without a comment the statement ‘Not sure if people who made positive reviews… are friends of the owner’ as it is just rude and insulting to people who enjoyed their stay at our Inn (and there are plenty of them). Besides, if we allow the assumption that positive comments come only from our friends, we can as well assume that negative comments come from e.g. our competitors or their friends just trying to defame us.
