We stayed here in early March in cabin 12. The cabin was beautiful, clean and the view was incredible. I will be taking my family here for a trip. 100% recommend. There was wildlife and the pool was super fun. Lakes nearby made going fishing a breeze. Will be returning for sure.

We stayed in Cabin 12 for the weekend and had a great time. The accommodations were nice and there were too many things for us to take in during the day to experience them all. We visited the indoor pool and hot tub, had a couple drinks in the restaurant one evening, ice fished on McPhee Lake, seen a few of the local wildlife right at the lodge (elk and deer), and went for a bit of a tour as it was our first time there. This was a weekend to relax so we didn't try some of the other things that would be great fun. Our children weren't along, but seeing other's children having all sorts of limitless fun, makes me want to bring them along next time.

We were married at Elk Ridge resort in 2014 and have returned several times. We have always enjoyed our stays here and will continue to return. Very happy to see that new ownership has continued to deliver the same exceptional service we have come to expect.

Our stay at Elk Ridge Cabin #6. Where to start. This was our first time visiting Elk Ridge with the exception of my husbands golf trips years ago. We were all very excited. We had 3 adult children and the two of us staying in the cabin that sleeps 10. Our sole intentions of the trip was a getaway for snowmobiling and just spending time together as there was no snow at our own cabin. The area was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the sledding. We rent our own cabin in the summers so I am aware of renters expectations and I feel the following were not met in this price point. 1. Cabin sleeps 10 and seating in the living room was for 3. A love seat and 1 chair. 2. The $9.99 coffeemaker had no filters and was not auto shut off and literally could have burned the place down since it was on all day while we were out riding 3. All 4 bedrooms had room for a luggage rack but zero were provided. All of us had to have our bags on the floor. This is the one thing that bothered me the most. 4. The floor is rotten and has divots and holes and spongy spots under the carpeted area that are clearly felt. 5. The love seat has a harsh spring that is unavoidable when trying to sit in one of the 3 spots in the living room 6. Zero thought to winter boots etc. The back entrance was spacious but the mat was 20”x 33”. So the floor was constantly wet. 7. There were 4 shower towels in a cabin that sleeps 10. Since we had 5. We did not have enough until my husband walked the coffee maker over to the office and retrieved towels. 8. For 3 nights/4days I expect 4 dish rags. Not 2. And 2 tea towels is also not enough. 9. Since our stay was during covid-19. I brought Mr Clean to wipe surfaces before my family arrived. The railing and other surfaces were black. We also were there when our neighbour checked out and the cleaning crew arrived and spent what felt like 12 minutes in the cabin next door. How can that be clean for the next renters that day? Zero effort was put in to disinfect between guests. 10. The French doors to the small deck were being held together by duct tape. Yes duct tape. Sitting in the kitchen chair next to the door means you felt a very cold draft. 11. Although the bedding was clean all the beds were like planks. 12. They did not seal off the ceiling properly in the upstairs 2 bedrooms as you can hear breathing in the room beside. A small amount of insulation in the 1/4” gap would solve this. 13. 4 hangers in the closet for possibly 10 guests? Seems like a minor detail but not when we were laying coats on the floor under the stairs Things that were good: 2 bathrooms Table with 6 chairs Kitchen appliances were new Smart TV Recycling bin Decent size back entrance Enough garbage bags were left We were allowed to bring our own fire pit Wifi Room to park our truck and 4 place trailer They offered free skating and skate rentals/snow shoes/cross country skiing which I thought was nice. We did not get a chance to take advantage of this. I will chalk this up to the fact that new management has not had a chance to deal with the cabins yet and hope they read these reviews so going forward there is an effort to fix these things for others. They are all manageable. We enjoyed ourselves anyway but will not be back unless we stay in the cottages as they are newer and likely have owners what care about these details. Ps. Please put a soup ladle in cabin 6.

We had the best time and felt safe from Covid. Only thing there could have been soap in the ladies shower. The new group are getting their act together and could have a little help at the front desk to coordinate. Prince was our main guy And he was a big help for first timers. The other guy And girl need to familiarize themselves with the amenities. We got a bum steer about trails. Then when we called lost they had no idea what to tell us. The accommodations were excellent. 3 bedroom cottage crokincurl was broken for some reason.
