Spent the week of Christmas at Lost Creek resort. Family of 4 adults and 2 dogs. We are very familiar with the Waskesiu area and winter recreational activities. The dog-friendly cottages were the #1 point for us. We stayed in a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom cottage with gas fireplace. It was an incredible place to spend Christmas. Excellent fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and very homey atmosphere. Clean and tidy place that made our stay so great. Loads of room for us and the dogs. We were able to borrow complimentary snowshoes/poles during our stay and were treated to see the numerous elk that also ‘visited’ the grounds. We hope to return next Christmas! Would (and already have) recommend this resort.

My husband and I just came back for a short stay after a 13 year absence.. far too long! We are already planning to return in the winter... very very clean, quiet and relaxing, and very accessible to areas of Prince Albert National Park that we like to visit, comfy beds and everything you need ! Thanks Lost Creek ! !Ellie and Steve

Stayed at lost creek in September for a bike race. Cabins are newer looking, very clean and comfortable. Sat tv in every one. There are 2 outdoor hot tubs on the property and each cabin as a deck and gas BBQ. Enjoyed my stay very much.

Super easy checkin and stayed in Cabin 6 which is located in a secluded corner of the complex. Beautiful forest view from the deck and from inside the cabin. This place is outfitted with everything you can imagine but if you drink smoothies, bring your own blender. This is a deluxe cabin because of the great two person jacuzzi tub and 2 white bathrobes. Super, super clean. A short walk into the town site, which had great shopping and eating establishments. Hawood Hotel in town has a great restaurant and we ate there several times. Must try the homemade pumpkin turkey sausage yummy! The main downfall of this cabin is the bed. Found the mattress sub-standard and the sheets rough. I actually felt more comfortable sleeping on the couch. My husband was also uncomfortable sleeping in this bed. Also when relaxing on the deck we could hear traffic noise, so if this bothers you, you'd be better in another cabin.

We stayed in a two-bedroom cabin (#1). The cabin was very clean, cozy and the surroundings were not noisy. There was no traffic sounds and no loud service cars like in the heart of Waskesiu village (ex, garbage truck, cleaning teams...). We observed kids playing outside, but did not hear them - a winning combination! Hot tubs were available and clean. Deer sometimes come right into Lost Creek Resort and it is a pleasure to watch. The owner, Gordon, was available all the time and was very helpful. He ran the resort very smoothly during a busy season.. Fireplace was a shortcoming, the flame was modest; this has been compensated by a wonderful fire pit at the centre o the resort. Overall a good experience !

We rented the the three "bedroom" unit with AC. I am not sure why they advertise a 2 bedroom with a loft for a cheaper price, as the three bedroom is actually 2 bedrooms and a loft. The walls are paper thin so I would not recommend you go with a large amount of people. The AC is actually an old window unit cut into the wall. We were there during very warm weather and we were sweltering upstairs. The lights for the loft and bedroom are on the same circuit, so don't expect to turn on a light unless everyone is in agreement.
The unit we stayed in was next to the hot tub and so you could hear all of the kids playing so we had to keep the windows shut in an already hot room.
The hot tub was repulsive!!! The water was green and had an awful smell. The other hot tub was cleaner, but cold and the jets did not work. This are not kept up at all.
Overall, I was very disappointed in what we got for the amount of money we spent. It is in a good location and we did see some nice wildlife. However, the people that own this property clearly do not take pride in this "resort". Stay elsewhere!

Alas, Lost Creek is not meeting expectations for the high prices. Yep, bug and fly swatted guts on walls and windows....and we arrived to find over a hundred dead bug carcasses on window sills-yuck! Ottoman broken, dishwasher does not clean dishes adn mattresses squeak like they're twenty years old. Picnic table moved by a exhaust spewing tractor gagging us as we are trying to enjoy the outdoor grass. Maybe good for a hunting camp rental but not worth the high rent.

My family of 4 stayed here after our out of province trip got cancelled because of covid. We had a great time with hardly anyone else in the park. There is a ski trail right beside the resort that connects to the park trail. Cabin had everything we needed and wifi was great streamed a movie no problem. One of the only places open during winter and the only one away from the beach in the wilderness. Highly recommended.

This place gets 5 stars for cleanliness, comfort, renovations, location. Kitchen was great, we stayed in cabin 5. Sleeps 4 people. The jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was so relaxing and huge!!!! Beautiful! I came with my boyfriend for a short stay while he was at meetings and I'm so thankful i was able to join! I didn't use the hot tubs outside but it looked nice! Smooth check-in as well. Very quiet here and well worth the money.

We stayed here with my family and my wife's sisters family in a 3 bedroom cabin. Our check in was very smooth and it was a nice little cottage feeling in the office.
Once we got to our cabin though our jaws dropped. It was very large and clean. We had a full kitchen and fire place in the living room. Lots of cooking dish ware and utensils in the kitchen.
We loved the fire pit and the hot tub where we all enjoyed our evenings all week. They always had lots of fire wood and the tub never seemed too full.
It was very close to town and could easily be within walking distance if your not lugging a bunch of stuff otherwise we would drive for beach days. They had a great Canada day celebration as well as in town! Yes it's a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for and then some.
