Detailed Reviews

We stayed at this property after it had only been open for 8 days. A few rough spots but a great location and good staff. Many of the upper level staff are an opening crew from elsewhere, they will hopefully train the locals to the same standards.
The room we stayed in had never been used before. There are several issues that will hopefully be ironed out before too long. First, there is no clock on the bedstand, and the wake-up call that was ordered never arrived. When we asked about the clock it was explained that the microwave had a clock. But the microwave is hidden behind a door in a cupboard, is not visible unless you open the cabinet, and is too small to be seen from the bed anyway. Next, the AC control did not control the temperature and the fan ran continuously despite the setting for the fan control.
The only available coffee in the room was decaf. There were no glasses in the bathroom.
In the rush to get the place open, they don't have a sign showing the entrance to the hotel, so an extra trip around the block was necessary.
The staff was great, some very tasty drinks are available at the bar, and the valet parking was very smooth. The pool area is very nice. It would be improved with a hot tub but is great for kids to play in.
We will be happy to return in the future.

One of the nicest Courtyards I have ever stayed at. Service was amazing. Everyone was friendly and more than willing to go out of their way for you, especially Christian at the front desk. It’s very clean and completely soundproof. Unfortunately they did not have the bar or cafe open the two nights I was there but the attached restaurant, Smorgies, was more than accommodating. So was the cool little supper club/tikki bar next door. This was our second stay there and I a sure if we are back in St. Paul we will book again.

Excellent location for Xcel. Stayed for the Queen concert. Several resturants within a couple of blocks from hotel. Hotel is very clean and modern. Some of the staff is extremely friendly. A couple daytime staff seemed annoyed when you asked a question, but the majority of staff was very pleasant.
Valet was wonderful and very helpful with Uber and Lyft assistance. Food area staff was extremely nice and helpful to make sure you were happy. Will definitely stay there again.

If you’re attending an event at Xcel Energy Center, you can’t beat the location. This is quite a new hotel, so the rooms are modern and clean. It is nice that there is a restaurant connected that has a kitchen open til very late. So many times when you get back to your hotel, there isn’t food available. So those are the good things. Couple of negatives….the buses outside are LOUD and run constantly. Interior doors are also very loud when people are coming and going . There are a lot of homeless people in the area hanging around. The heating cooling unit does make a lot of noise as other reviews suggested. We had an issue with housekeeping, but it was resolved by the head of housekeeping, which we appreciated. There are lots of hotels in the area, so not sure if we’d stay here again or not. Again, the location is excellent.

This is a very new hotel, right in the center of downtown St. Paul MN. It is literally across the street from the Excel Energy Center. This hotel was modern, with polished cement floors, immaculately clean, and well appropriated. The walls had oversized photos of the Minnesota state Capitol and the Cathedral of St. Paul - very cool! My room was spacious and very quiet, so I slept very well. Christian was the front desk concierge. He was friendly and professional and provided great customer service. Even the valet guys were friendly and professional. This hotel is convenient and affordable. Whomever is the GM of this place is doing a great job!

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel on business. It is clean, nice gym for a hotel, a restaurant attached, and in the perfect spot to hit all of the areas I need to be. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Anytime I had a question or needed assistance there was always an answer given. Christian at the desk is amazing and so courteous! He has amazing energy and just makes you smile! I will definitely be back when I have to visit my clients in the area!

This is a relatively new property—maybe open for 18 months—and it is bright and modern. There is a spacious lobby, it is located across the street from hockey arena, and close to lots of dining opportunities. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Great stay!

Staff was very welcoming and rooms were very clean. The next morning, I called the valet for my car and had to wait a moment, but Christian at the front desk was very kind and removed my car expense for the wait time. I told him that wasn't necessary, but he did and provided tremendous customer service!

Loved everything about this location. Javon was my valet and he was excellent. Was very responsive and polite. I’ll be back. The staff was also great and welcoming. The location was new and clean. There were also security measures in place which made me feel safe.

I had a great experience staying at this hotel while in St. Paul for work. Being a newer hotel is a benefit - It’s very clean and modern and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. On top of that, every member of the staff was warm, welcoming and friendly. I’ll definitely stay here again.
