The Drury Plaza Hotel St. Paul Downtown is popular among guests for its spacious and uniquely decorated rooms, although the bathroom door design receives mixed reviews. Travelers commend the hotel for its excellent value, inclusive meals, and generous amenities such as a praised breakfast and relaxing pool and hot tub, despite some concerns over parking costs.
Its prime location offers easy access to local attractions, which is a major draw. While the hotel's cleanliness and friendly staff are frequently highlighted, the need for improved towel service and elevator maintenance has been noted.

Hotel's Favourite
The check in line was very long upon arrival, the staff worked quickly to ensure everyone was into their room in a timely manner while maintaining a welcoming friendly attitude. The room was a great size for us and very clean. I was happy to hear the hotel doors are locked at 5pm, I felt safe regardless but this was another level of comfort. The breakfast was great! A lot to choose from and the breakfast area was very clean. The hotel was very quiet for being sold out. I will definitely be back!

The Drury in St. Paul had an attractive and modern lobby, easy (but not free) parking, and a good location near state capitol and hospitals. The bed in my room was a big, comfy king size. Large windows allowed plenty of light in the room and offered a nice view from the 7th floor. The suite was spacious and clean. The wifi worked fine. The evening free drinks and food was pleasant, and the food included hot items as well as chips etc. Pulled pork, baked potatoes, etc. I would recommend this hotel.

We recently traveled to St. Paul to attend a concert in St. Paul. We've stayed at other hotels within the vicinity in the past, and felt like we paid a lot for nothing but location, and a substandard hotel experience. We chose the Drury with low expectations and hoped for the best.
Parking was plentiful, and if you travel to St. Paul, you know how rare this is! Upon walking into the beautiful hotel lobby, we were greeted with smiling faces. Check in was a breeze, and the attendants were friendly and helpful. Our room was first-class. It was tastefully decorated, well appointed and clean. The king sized bed was heavenly, pure luxury, and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, and we loved the big shower with the rain shower head and enough water pressure to rinse my thick, long hair. The walk to the Xcel was just over a mile and simple, we felt safe the entire time. Post concert, we came back and enjoyed the pool and hot tub, such an appreciated amenity. After our dip, we enjoyed a few cocktails at the bar and were delighted by the two friendly bartenders. I was thankful for the Marketplace in the lobby, which had an OTC medication stocked that I had forgotten to pack. After a fantastic night's sleep, we enjoyed the breakfast, with great options like cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, yogurt, pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and hot coffee. We travel to St. Paul often, and will be staying at The Drury every time. It was a fantastic hotel at a fantastic price point with friendly staff and great amenities.

Pay 200 a night after taxes and a stupid fee for parking your car there means you should get a better breakfast and better service overall. Will not stay there again. Not much of a menu for food at the bar either

Originally an Embassy Suites, this hotel has the signature spacious rooms and maintains the included breakfast and evening snacks. The Drury family completely replaced the elevator system, and we did not once wait more than 30 seconds for an elevator during our stay. Rooms were clean and quiet, with convenient power outlets and USB charging ports. Staff was friendly and helpful.
I appreciate their commitment to environmental awareness, with towels only replaced when requested, no plastic trash can liners (they are wiped clean), and metal utensils and washable plates at breakfast and evening snacks. We learned that this is a directive from the Drury family. They eliminated Styrofoam and plastics even though it costs them significantly more to do so. Kudos to their leadership in this area.

The quality and value were exceptional. My husband, our four children, and I enjoyed a brief weekend retreat. The cleanliness and welcoming nature of the space, as well as the roomy accommodations and essential amenities such as the pool, hot tub, gym, and Wi-Fi, were impressive. It was an added bonus that the included meals and cocktails essentially paid for our stay! This was our first experience at a Drury hotel, and we will certainly return.

The Drury hotel was the best hotel we ever stayed at the price that is affordable. The free dinner and free coctail were exemplary. The breakfast was great as well. The staff were so professional and friendly. In summary, I can say "A topnotch hotel at a reasonable rate."

My husband and I stayed at the Drury Plaza St. Paul overnight for a quick getaway to the cities to enjoy some of the holiday activities in the area. We had never stayed at a Drury Hotel before and chose this one based upon location, cost, and reviews. We were very pleased with our stay. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and continental breakfast were great. The 5:30 Kickback was a pleasant surprise. Definitely will consider Drury Hotels as our go to lodging when traveling and will be staying here on our next trip to the twin cities area.

Have stayed in the Drury hotels before so was happy to see the location of this one matched our needs. We had to get a last minute hotel due to weather/ flight changes. Quick on and off the nearby highway so we could get dropped off by our ride. This location has a beautiful lobby with skylights and original brickwork as it was a farmers market. Whole place was very clean with staff everywhere. Rooms are large suites which was great it was divided nicely so hubby could do very early conference calls. We walked and explored the area, the river used barges to transport goods and the Union Train station. Following TripAdvisors and the employee recommendations we walked to the best local restaurant. Also nearby was a nice brewery ( we will check that out next when in the area. Breakfast as well as their “ kick back” dinner is included along with 3 drinks per person. Not having a car this worked out great !

It was our first stay with Drury Hotel and we were very pleased with the location, price, quality and all that was included. Staff were always polite, smiled and just wanted to make your stay the best it could be. We stayed in a deluxe king suite and it was very spacious, the mattress and pillows were comfortable, and it was great to have a separate living area for those that might be night owls.

Hello Leo. We unfortunately do not have any shuttles at this hotel. We recommend either a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft, or by utilizing the local cab service Global Travel Service MSP Taxi, which you can contact at 651-703-0582.
Thank you for considering Drury Hotels.
Hello!
We are scheduled to open in late 2019. We are currently accepting reservations for arrival January 31, 2020 and beyond.
They do have a shuttle that some of my peers used to go to dinner locations. Not sure about airport.
If you want to use the shuttle just talk to the front desk when you check in. They will make arrangements for the shuttle. Usually there are other hotel guests using the shuttle as well and they would let you know the schedule. It's a very convenient feature. And we were even able to call the hotel and have the shuttle come back and pick us up.
