BIG4 Cania Gorge Holiday Park boasts 23 acres of powered and unpowered sites along with 27 Cabins, Villas, Bunkhouses and Hillside Villas.
Cool down and relax at the Pools. The kids will just love the Water Park.
Our nine hole par 3 golf course is now available for use by our guests.
We feed the native bird life every afternoon - this is a great experience for the whole family because you not only learn about the birds, but you also get to feed them yourself. Kayaks are available for hire along with a 4 person tinny for use down at the beautiful Lake Cania just 5kms down the road. Meal nights Friday, Saturday and Monday are our special nights - and yes Camp Fires are permitted.....
Stayed two nights. Very basic. Despite the parks regulations regarding noise and alcohol, there was a group of campers opposite us that were extremely drunk, loud and music went on at midnight! No, repeat No management intervention! When I raised the issue with the manger the next day he told me he couldn't do anything if I didn't call him about the problem! Only issue is that we had no phone coverage at all! And I got the feeling he couldn't care less! Will NEVER go back.
This caravan has large level sites and allows camp fires. Ammenities are very clean and the camp kitchens ( numerous) are large and well equipped. We stayed five nights. Great park for kids witj pools and water park, jumping pillow and frisbee course. Lots of wildlife including friendly wallabies. Bird feeding was great. Roast dinner Monday night was lovely as was the free billy yea and damper morning teas twice a week. We will be back
Never heard of this place until we were driving past and decided to stop in. Bird feeding at 5pm every day, fantastic for kids and adults as well, so many birds. Kangaroos chilling on the grass, had a Bettong come in around our campfire one night, marvellous experience here with my family. Well worth a stop as the walks nearby in the Gorge are worth the trip as well.
An amazing place to stay. This accommodation provides entertainment for all ages. For the family with children, there is the swimming pools and water park, bounce pillow, tennis, and golf. Along with the bird feeding experience- Cockatoo’s, parrots, galahs, etc. Other wildlife included possums and wallabies. All visiting our air conditioner ensuite cabin. The cabin overlooked the Three Moon Creek. The cabin had all cooking needs for our stay. It was clean and comfortable Saturday night was wine tasting and pizza night. OMG the pizzas are huge and delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, including delivering our pizza to our table. But big shout out to Vicki (staff member) for making our stay fantastic. Thank you We will be back with family and friends
Camped here for a week including nye. Site is remote. Little phone reception, closest town 20 minutes away. Some supplies stocked by reception. No issue except reception closes at 5pm. Way too early in peak season and given bird feeding is at 5pm also right next to the reception you couldn't feed the birds then grab some supplies, water, ice or an ice cream. Also, person making coffee needs some barista lessons on adding coffee to the drink instead of serving hot milk. Big powered camp sites however all dirt (no grass) which goes everywhere especially when it rains which it did. Main camp kitchen is huge with TV, fridge, oven, toaster and microwave. Can get noisy after 9pm if people/kids still in there. Kids can't scooter play in the area which is ok but nowhere else for them to scooter - all dirt and rocks. Facilities as expected being so remote. Cleaned daily, good water pressure and consistent hot water. Can get smelly. Main attraction is the cania dam. Need a boat to really enjoy it. Water park was great except the pools looked a little green. Jumping pillow was good fun. Overall our experience was good let down by some rudeness at reception. Would we return? Maybe, in off peak.…
