Absolutely loved this place which is ideally situated at the entrance to most of the walks. The beauty of the walks is that they don’t require 12 months intensive training beforehand are are extremely well maintained. Beautiful setting with oodles of wildlife. While the amenities are slightly dated they are kept clean and very functional. The pool is very welcome after a few kilometres walk on the nearby tracks. We will be back.
Very friendly on arrival. Men’s amenities needs a lot of up keeping. Camp kitchen very dirty, bbq need degreasing. Washing area needs a good clean. Don’t park under trees. Great Pizza’s Needs a lot of TLC 3 days enough
We chose to stay here rather than at the Big 4 because of the proximity to the walks in the National Park and for the "peace and quiet" advertised on the website. All but one walk is accessible from this caravan park without having to drive. The walks were all lovely. The amenities are very old and tired. The park looks run down. The website mentioned peace and quiet and tranquility. We had a lovely shady unpowered bush camping site but unfortunately the serenity was spoilt by several groups drinking and carrying on late into the night.
The cabin was clean but musty on arrival which improved after we'd opened the windows. It could do with renovating, was small and basic with kitchen and bathroom. Note with most cabins you need to use the outdoor camp kitchen. We had a microwave and hot plates on top of a portable oven, the hot plates were quite high so a bit awkward for shorter people. Small fridge but there's a full size fridge and freezer in camp kitchen. The birds are really lovely but watch your food on the balcony! The table and chairs are on the balcony, a good spot for watching the caravans and campers comes and go.
This is just an awesome bush getaway, the park is just awesome and the walk through the National Park is spectacular. The amenities were clean and the RV Park is spacious and clean with lots of bird life
