Te Mahia is a memorable spot in a gorgeous setting. Access to the Queen Charlotte Track in within walking distance. However, it is extremely remote and isolated, so you be prepared (with plenty of gas in the tank!). The accommodations are well cared for and spacious, but fairly basic and a bit kludgy (linoleum floors, no headboards on the beds,...

We stay here every year and the reason is obvious...the spot is the best in the marlborough sounds, hosts and staff are kind and obliging, accommodation clean and fresh. You'd be hard pressed to find this at such reasonable prices elsewhere...thanks Trevor and Jan!

Three nights spent here on beachfront property. We were on a 70 km hike of Queen Charlotte walk and stopped to relax and unwind in this perfect and tranquil location. Our hosts Trevor and Jan had the perfect combination of friendliness and helpful attentiveness without at any time intruding in our private family time. The shop provided all that we...

Te Mahia Lodge is in a quiet and beautiful location. It has a lot of sunlight and a small beach where you can swim or kayak. The rooms were large and clean with a small, but well equipped kitchen. The living room/master bedroom looks out to the ocean and has a large deck with chairs and tables that overlook the...

I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here. The accomodation is a little dated but super clean and well maintained. There is a shop on site and the produce is reasonably priced. One word of advice though. If you gave special dietary requirements you would be well advised to take what you need with you. I suffer from celiac disease...

We spent three nights in paradise - Te Mahia Bay Resort. If anyone was to ask me where to go for a break where they can find peace and tranquility I would have no hesitation in recommending this Resort. There are a variety of accommodation preferences and all have excellent water views. Trevor and Jann make you feel so welcome...

I had heard about Te Mahia over the years but never found the time to go there until this week , and what a pleasure it was. The warm reception from two exceptional hosts will stay with me . Though the weather wasn't great after the first day, it didn't matter, just relaxing with that view and it's changing scene...

My friend and I have just spent two nights at this motel and I originally told the owner that I give it ten out of ten, then I changed that to eleven! The proprietors were extremely friendly and helpful despite the fact that they have been dealing with guests for twenty two years. The motels are spotless with comfortable chairs...
