My husband and I recently spent one night at the Rosswood plantation. We went with another couple and their 13 year old son. We were in Natchez for the annual Angels on the Bluff tour. Rosewood is about 30 minutes outside of Natchez. We were initially greeted by Sandy, a very sweet dog. Sandy was found by the owners a...

The owner had Miss Peggy show us a film before our tour. Miss Peggy is the cook and she is friendly. After the film the owner who is elderly and lost her husband recently showed us the house. It is a very historic house and interesting. Her personal antique collections are beautiful. However the house needs a lot of TLC.

Jean gave an amazing tour! Way better tour guide and person to talk to than just the ones in town because she shows you a diary and other specific records as they tell you the story. It's amazing! Ray was also wonderful while we were there to experience Rosswood Plantation. The top porch where you stay for the bed and...

We came across Rosswood by accident on our way to New Orleans from Missouri. The home is beautiful (but is starting to get a little run down) but the owner Ray was the highlight!! We were the only ones there for the tour at that time. The house is lovely and filled with amazing antiques. I can't wait for our...

It has fourteen rooms, with fourteen-foot ceilings, ten fireplaces, columned galleries, a winding staircase, and original slave quarters. In the antebellum era, Dr Wade and his wife held parties and balls and...

Wonderful tour. House getting a little rundown but the antiques are definitely worth going for. A treasure trove of Finery. If you enjoy elegance, take the tour. I probably wouldn't stay the night just because it is a little dusty.

We stayed at Rosswood Plantation during a music based road trip from New Orleans to Nashville via Memphis and Lynchburg. We stayed 2 nights and loved the trip back in time in this beautiful old Greco styled plantation home full of history which the present owners Walt and Jeanie delight in sharing with you. Miss Peggy their African American Cook...

We recently spent three nights at Rosswood while attending the Spring Natchez Pilgrimage. We were first welcomed by the friendly dog. Ray Hylander, the son of the owners, greeted us. He gave us a history of the house and a tour. We stayed in one of the queen size bedrooms. In the mornings Miss Peggy serves up a wonderful breakfast...

We drove up to the home on the way to Natchez and the sign said it was open March to Nov and open at 12:30 on Sunday, so we continued to Natchez and came back the 30 miles to find the sign that said it was open, but the gate was still closed and no one answered the door. The...
