Graduate Oxford is prominently located on The Square, the cultural and historic hub of the city center, and just about a mile from Ole Miss campus. We are steps from the famed Square Books, City Grocery, The Library Sports Bar and all the nearby heritage and charm this neck of the woods is known for. Cozy up in our 3,000 square foot lobby stacked floor to ceiling with vintage reads, comfy seating and a chic lounge bar, set atop a wash of pink wire-brushed oak stained floors. Take in some Oxford elegance at The Coop, our rooftop terrace bar, complete with live blues, light bites and signature craft cocktails or sip a “state of the art” coffee creation at Cabin 82, a nod to the heart of the county fair.

Several family members and friends stayed here while attending wedding festivities at The Jefferson venue. Love this location and the area. Beautiful streets and loved the Oxford Square. Really enjoyed the nostalgic restaurant just off the lobby. Themed after The Neshoba County Fair and Williams Brothers General Mercantile store in Philadelphia, MS. The Manning boys’ original family store and the one-of-a-kind fair cabin. Would like to stay at The Graduate again soon and shop around the Oxford Square during the holidays. Was wondering why no holiday lighting or decorations in the hotel lobby though.

Good morning, We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We actually had our lobby and the outside of the hotel decorated for the holidays on the 19th of this month. We would love to have you stay again with us before the holidays are over to enjoy the decorations you missed. We appreciate your feedback and we thank you for choosing Graduate Oxford!

Having stayed here several times since our daughter started at Ole Miss in fall of '17 including a couple of football weekends, written 2 mostly complimentary reviews here, and watched as competition has failed to move the needle on a few needed improvements, our recent stay compels me to review again....hopefully the new management team is listening...first, the constants that make The Graduate attractive...1) the location....a block or so to the Square 2) Quirky thematic kitsch that is at first blush fun and sets a whimsical vibe....then loses some of it's appeal after a few visits 3) comfortable if not particularly impressive accomodations ...it should be noted that any review here reflects that reviewers singular experience, not necessarily the day-to-day baseline of hospitality offered,,,,with that said, a few real disappointments during this last stay 1) Like so many other "central reservation" departments, the Graduate's is weak....I'd changed my original reservation, which I'd made directly with the property via phone (I know, totally old school) adding a day to our stay....I called direct to reconfirm that change and add my wife's name to the reservation as she was arriving separately and might get in before me and when I pressed for reservations was automatically handed off to central reservations...after about 3 or 4 minutes of questions (name, address, rank, serial number etc) and suggesting that we create a separate reservation for her, the agent went on to confirm my original reservation, not the changed, and letting me know I had another reservation for the following week.. both wrong....I finally gave up on this guy, finally got the property direct, and finally got my wife's name on the reservation, which took all of 10 seconds....memo to self: NEVER talk to central reservation...now issues that I've addressed in past reviews...The Coop still suffers from glaring customer service issues....literally, you can sit at the bar directly in front of a bartender who's pouring a drink and not even be acknowledged with as much as a "I'll be right with you"....indifference and preoccupation are the rule not the exception...... maybe it's that they don't hire enough pros like Lance or that they don't get out of their offices enough to see what's going on...it's a smallish bar with a very large customer base to serve, and labor-intensive specialty mixed drinks that slow the process, but still attitude is as important as skill....then there's the system....I'd ordered a drink from Lance at the bar and then moved to a table to better see a TV....when I finished the drink I asked server Wyatt if I could settle up....he abruptly asked who my server was and stated "I can't help you".....really???...I learned apparently it's a "system" problem, a system that serves the accounting dept but not the customers....I'm pretty sure Wyatt could have been a problem solver but I guess chose not to be....then there's Cody at the front desk...getting ready for bed, we needed a couple more pillows....I called the front desk, no one picked up, waited 10 minutes and called again, no one picked up, called again, no one picked up and I was automatically handed off to that danged central reservations guy again who told me they were busy....I asked him to bring some pillows but that didn't work so I went out to the front desk where there was indeed a family of 3 checking out but 2 kids behind the desk, including Cody who confirmed central reservation guy's assessment of the situation by telling me "we've been busy" ....not "sorry for the inconvenience" or "let me get someone to bring you a pillow" but "we've been busy"...The Chancellor's House and the Marriott are relative newcomers and now provide options, albeit very different options close to the Square...in the hospitality industry,it's said that everything else being equal, it's customer service that makes the difference...if that's true, the Graduate has to pick up the pace
Thank Jon L

Good morning, I do apologize for the late response. I attempted to respond the day of; but it did not save. I would like to apologize on behalf of the front desk and The Coop. We work hard as a team to provide the best Graduate Oxford experience that we can. It saddens me to hear that a couple of our employees chose to do other wise. We will continue to coach and counsel to ensure that they get on the right track and stay on the right track. We appreciate your feedback and want you to know that your concerns do matter. Thank you for choosing Graduate Oxford; we hope to see you in the future so that we are able to redeem ourselves. Enjoy your day!

The Graduate makes a refreshing change from the usual hotel chains and has a great location. Whilst the design is very distinctive I wasn’t sure about staring at a ceiling of bare concrete. The aircon was very loud and annoyingly couldn’t be switched off.

Good morning, We appreciate your feedback and we are delighted to know that you enjoyed our design. The concrete ceilings is another thing that sets aside from other boutique hotels. I do apologize that your a/c was too loud and will be sure to address your concerns with our engineering department. We look forward to seeing you again. Thank you for choosing Graduate Oxford!

Had to make a business trip to Oxford and could not find a dog sitter so my fur babies ended up coming with me. I was a little hesitant but needless to say, myself and my babies loved the Graduate! Love the decor down to staff/maintenance! Nice amenities! There is an designated area for the dogs to do their business! The rooms are spacious too and you are soo close to downtown that I walked to work everyday! I can’t say enough good things about this place! Awesome rooftop bar!

There was only a chair in our room but if they have a rollaway, it should fit.

If there is one, it must be reasonable because there were plenty of pets on the property, which added to the charm of this place :)
