Our family stayed at Las Olas, #9- it could not have been more perfect! The home is beautiful with all of the amenities that one would need and if not, your wonderful dedicated housekeeper and cook will accomodate your needs the following day, if possible. We booked with Maryanne who was very professional and offered excellent assistnace which enhanced our...

We spent a week at Casa Luna at the Playa las Tortugas on Riviera Nayarit during the winter vacation. The house is beautiful, with Mexican architecture and colors. The kitchen has everything you may need (one thing I didn't find was a mixer, probably not many want to bake cakes while on vacation). Beds are comfortable and bathrooms very specious....

Playa Las Tortugas – We loved the place. Once you get here (see note below), this is a lovely, quiet, safe place to have a wonderful family vacation. The houses are beautiful, the landscaping lush and top notch service. Getting there – I wanted to put this at the top because we did not know how long the trip would...

Beautiful homes and gardens directly next to white sand and warm waves totally exceeded our expectations. Some highlights: boogie boarding at high tide: jogging on an empty beach: kayaking on an estuary and seeing amazing birds and then docking at neaby Plantanitos, which is full of restaurants, bars and local families enjoying the beach; friendly staff members who genuinely seem...

One of the best parts of this house is that it is hard to find. A Paradise that is easy to find typically turns in to high rise condo's. If you follow the directions, you will soon find the best beach on earth, and maybe share it wih about 6 other people (a 4 km beach). The house (Las Monzanitas)...

I am extremely surprised about the review posted by Jorja247 on this property. I have vacationed at this property and am getting ready to return in about 3 weeks. I have not encountered any miscommunication or false advertising on their website. In fact, I think it is very clear in both their advertising and traveler reviews that this property is...

Lots of miscommunication and false advertisement on their website. We were told there were activities within walking distance-there are not. We were told there were stores within walking distance-there are not. We were not prepared with enough information to have a comfortable stay. Eaten to pieces by mosquitos and nowhere to go to get ointment to help. We were told...

Our stay at Playa Las Tortugas was wonderful! I have been raving about it to everyone and have told quite a few people that I thought they should experience it for themselves. Casa Dos Hermanos was perfect and well-suited for our preferences. I think Casa Dos Hermanos has a great floor plan; it could easily accommodate up to six people...

We stayed here for Christmas week, 2011; my two sisters and our mother, together with our families. Our group ranged from 16 to 84 and we came together from all over the map: Brooklyn, Seattle, Albuquerque and Sacramento. It was just a perfect place for us all to gather. There were 12 in our group so we used Villa Reyes...

So pleased that your Family had a great vacation at VILLA REYES. As you recognized, our small community of stylish homes on the Pacific (with 5 miles of pristine beach) is a great place to relax and recharge - away from the touristy crowds!

We just returned from a week at PLT over Thanksgiving. We stayed in Villa Flores which was lovely and had more features than even advertised on the web site. Enjoyed the beautiful beach, soaked up the pool and even sat in VF's private hot tub. Loved releasing the baby turtles, taking day trips and eating fresh local foods. The staff...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Playas Las Tortugas is an enclave of approximately 14 stylish homes that are individually owned and most are rented when the owner is not in residence. They are set in a working coconut plantation and feature all modern conveniences. They are located between the Pacific Ocean on the West, a bird filled fresh water estuary on the North, and the coconut plantation provides seclusion from the rest of the planet - a place to relax and commune with nature - away from the world's tourists!Rental options vary from a pair of roomy duplexes to multi-bedroom villas. Maid service is provided daily and our gardeners tend the grounds six days per week. Meal preparation is optional. All homes have air-conditioned bedrooms. Groups of homes can be rented for use by groups such as yoga clubs, business groups, and wedding parties. The palm lined beach extends for more than five miles and there are no other dwellings within miles of the beach. The large community pool is centrally located and comfortable. Some beach front villas have private pools/jacuzzi. Kayak rentals are available from the on-site Property Manager. Free WiFi is provided.Guests enjoy surfing, swimming, hiking, fishing, kayaking, horseback riding, relaxing, and massage. The Playa Las Tortugas property manager arranges any excursions desired, airport transportation, and the like. Small Mexican villages are frequently visited for day trips - especially on market days. These small farm towns have some signature Mexican restaurants and the six oceanfront restaurants at Platinitos can be reached in 20 minutes by kayaking across the estuary. ... more   less
