After 20 years we decided to go camping again (the last time we had camped it was literally a disaster!). I called Shorewood Landing because I liked the look of the RV park on its website. After ending the call I told my husband that I had literally just talked to the nicest person in the world. The minute the owner, Gail, realized we had not been camping since our youngest daughter was 3 (which was 21 years prior) she went above and beyond to make sure we had a premium spot for our camper. Once we arrived she took the time to swing by and check on us several times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The shower house, which every single person chose to use vs. camper shower, was CLEAN!! No shoes required to shower in, great water pressure, & bleach clean. You could eat off the sink countertops it was that clean. The grounds were groomed and well taken care of and being able to just walk to our boat which was stored in a covered dock was the best part! Just a small trip out of the cove and you are on the lake. We live 4 1/2 hours away but my family of 11 ALL agreed that we would travel back to this exact location to vacation here again. You will NOT be sorry if you decide to stay here!

We visited from North Jersey, where we have beautiful camping destinations, and stayed with Missouri family here in 2017 and can't wait until our trip back next month. Very nice and clean campground. Gail is as friendly as you will every meet. She takes the time to get to know her renters and in fact when I called to rent our cabins for this year she remembered us from 2 years ago. Our cabin was very clean and comfortable and accommodated 5 of us. This year we have 8 but opted for 2 cabins so the teenagers don't wake grandma. You can walk right into the lake beach style which is great for anyone with any health or pain issues. I highly recommend this campground. It's absolutely beautiful.
