At first glance the Hilton Frontenac appears like a chateau in the heartland. The stately awnings and white brick signal European influence, and the grand entrance exudes Ritz-Carlton. The hotel consists of several buildings which appear to have been added at different time periods, yet...More
I think opulent is the correct wording for this particular Hilton. Of course Grand is another word to use as well.
From the moment you step into the lobby it’s obviously going to be a beautiful Hilton with some very nice amenities.
The lobby is...More

Hotel needs to be renovated, fans are too noise and quite old. I had to request twice to get my safe working. Not an experience at Hilton standard. Receptionist seemed to be in training and was not able to solve my problem at arrival, but...More

From the lovely gentleman who delivered my breakfast on time this morning, to the restaurant staff and housekeeping, I have nothing but nice things to say. All were very nice, the room was clean and food was very good. Next business trip I will choose...More
This is a nice place, but the parking lot is a nightmare. Part of that is the clientele being dumb.

I am not aware of special romantic rooms, but they have many weddings there and perhaps have a honeymoon suite. Inside the room on the desk on wonderful guide magazines. By all means, go to the top of the arch and explore the museum below. Drive through Forest Park (created for 1904 Worlds Fair) to visit world famous zoo, very reputable art museum, the Jewel Box, and the lovely scenery. Get tickets for a performance at the Muny Opera (easy to do online) to see a Broadway show outdoors. Visit Missouri Historical Society. Take a sightseeing trolley that leaves down by the Riverfront. Lunch in "the Loop" to visit interesting shops,
restaurants, and art galleries. Take a ride on the Metro to some of the sights. It is a fabulous city not enough people think about for a vacation!
