We stayedthere a year ago and were frankly disappointed. Itshould only be used for weddingreceptions since thye arenot pprepared to run a hotel--noteven a small one.Breakfastwas pathetic and we enede up bringing our own fruite since the kitchen neverhadany. Likesie for dinner--choices were completely limited. While food was acceptable, thatis just waht iit was and there was almost no choice. Not...

I went to le Mas des Comtes de Provence to celebrate a close friend wedding's. I spent the afternoon, the night and most the following day there. It was just the perfect place to welcome 130 guests. The ceremony was hold in the garden, the aperitif in the "cours", the dinner next to the pool, the dessert was served in...

The hotel itself, a large farmhouse set in lush grounds, is charming and welcoming, giving a feeling somewhere in between B&B and small hotel. Host Pierre is relaxed, friendly and helpful. A separate area with large clean pool, ping-pong table and petanque court set in green gardens and trees etc. means you can comfortably pass many hours on site. Our...

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 4 year old son. The hotel is very beautiful with a lot of character and feeling of history. The main building is made of stone with typical Provençal style windows and shutters with a lovely courtyard which all of the rooms overlook. Our room, the Santa Theresa room was very spacious with...

The room and bathroom were very spacious, and it felt like staying with friends in an old Mas deep in the countryside even if the city was actually quite close (not waking distance though). Despite the weather was extremely hot, every evening the air gets fresh and it is so very relaxing to eat out in the main courtyard. The...

A perfect balance between "boutique" and "rural provincial", as if you were staying at some friend's home in Provence. Yes the service is not the professional 5* type, but everything is done to make you feel comfortable in an easy-going and relaxing way. Amateurism is charming when done with all efforts and a big smile. When you have diner in...

We chose to stay here because it was very convenient for places in France which we had not previously visited: Carmargue and Alpilles areas; Arles, Nimes and Uzes. The hotel is set in spacious grounds and has a very good pool and table tennis table. Our air conditioned room and bathroom were both very large and comfortable. The continental breakfast...

We were a little worried before arriving here, having read some negative reviews, but our experience was precisely the opposite. The owner couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming, while our room, and the rest of the hotel and grounds, was delightful. The breakfast was copious: the normal French breakfast but done very well - and available until after 11.00...

We stayed here after finding the hotel in Alastair Sawday's "Special Places to Stay". Our party of four were sadly the only ones in the hotel so there was little atmosphere buy Pierre Valo, the proprietor, was welcoming and helpful with his chef discussing our dinner requirements in some detail. My wife is a coeliac and needs a gluten free...

This mas has lovely and romantic rooms, all different furnished. They are very clean. In the middle place, the terrace is protected from the "Mistral" wind. Dinner is simple, but appreciated. "Le patron" is always willing to help, but don't hurry, it can take some time. There is a nice swimming pool. Tarascon is within the triangle of Nimes, Avignon...
