hotel and pool ok - book locally in the highstreet for your 10 free drinks per day I have stayed there 4 times and each time we paid less than 20 cuc a day and had 10 free drinks between us a day - the accommodation is fine for cuba but the hot water can be an issue - this...

For those who are familiar with the Islazul chain of hotels and are not put off by the slightly worn down chattels or the sight of the occasional ant, the Villa Bayamo (or "Casa Central") offers a restful alternative to the Hotel Sierra Maestra (located in town). Except that the staff is friendly and that there is a free parking. The sheets were not clean, breakfast was not good, you could here yout neighbours as if they were in your room and you are not really close to the city center and the restaurant was awful! I would not advise this hotel or restaurant at all.

This little gem is located on the outskirts of town and you approach Bayamo from the direction of Manzanillo. It looks tiny until you pull around the back and discover a two-story hotel section, with several 'bungalows' strewn around what looks like a mini-golf type grounds.
