Situated on the south end of the beach and nestled right on the beach Amor Boutique Hotel is the perfect escape from L.A.
The flight from L.A. is a short 3 hour jump and Sayulita is a shorter 50min ride from the airport. The hotel provides a car service (for a fee) that includes beer and water to quickly pass the drive through a gorgeous hillside ride. The driver was safe and friendly asking if we wanted to stop at a market to pick up foodstuffs since that can be more difficult to find in the town of Sayulita.
Our room was on the ground floor which allowed us to walk straight to the beach and enjoy the free Stand Up Paddle boards provided by the hotel.
The restaurant at the hotel has, according to the wife, "The best Pina Colada, ever!" She was so taken with the hotel that she is planning a family reunion here, and I can't wait to come back!

I was only there for a couple of days with my wife, we stayed in Villa Mañana and besides being comfortable, it is very clean and equipped. It has everything you need to buy food, refrigerate it and heat it in the microwave, it has a partial ocean view that lets the waves relax you, coffee in the morning was one of our favorite moments. In addition to the Villa, I can safely say that the attention from Ricardo and Eduardo was more than excellent! They gave us tips on places to eat and dine, which area of the beach is best and they answered all our questions with great joy, they filled us with comfort by lending us towels and even glasses for the wine we bought. Yanet, our waitress, left everything in order and clean.
The Hotel has an unbeatable location, as you can walk everywhere and the noise of the party does not interfere with your rest.
You will found some insects, but none of them are dangerous.

Great location, beautiful property. The room was sparkling clean, quiet, the a/c and the wifi worked great and the service was above and beyond.

I loved that I asked for extra pillows and they were already there in the room when we arrived as well as some ear plugs (I am a light sleeper). Also the sheets were wonderful and UNSCENTED.

A couple of small notes:
1. There are no doors between bathrooms and bedrooms, so you have to be comfortable going to the bathroom with no room divider!
2. Even though they said the hotel would have no noise, they had a huge wedding basically outside of our patio with a DJ. I usually hate that kind of thing. However, they staff, especially Ricardo, went out of their way to find me a replacement room for the night, assured me that the wedding would be done at 11pm, and really went above and beyond to make us comfortable even with the loud DJ - and they were done at 10:45. I was so impressed by the wonderful staff and their service, they really treated us like a king and queen.
3. They say they have surfboards but really they mostly have SUPs and just a couple of boards, just a heads up.
4. We stayed in Villa Plumeria which is lovely - the only tiny issue was that the housekeeping is right below our room, and quite noisy in the afternoon - it's all outdoors so we had to listen to them singing, yelling, chatting, (even hawking and spitting) so that was a little annoying.

In general a great stay, though, I'd go back there again and maybe pick a villa away from the housekeeping department.

We also had a massage by the pool and it was FANTASTIC!

Very nice place. The location is close enough to the excitement of the main beach - but far enough away that you can enjoy some peace and quiet. Free surf board and paddle board rentals are a huge plus!

All I can Say is Wow! Our stay here was definitely the highlight of our Mexico trip. Perched at the top of the world, Amor’s luxury is a welcome contrast to some of the gritty street charm you find in other areas of Sayulta. The view from our terrace was amazing! It is nestled on the south end of the bay so you feel fully embraced by the “beachy” vibes of Sayulita. It was a safe and easy walk to the center of town where charming shops and delicious restaurants await. We quite enjoyed relaxing in the tiered pool area which offered nicely shaded parts even in the hottest of afternoons. Morning yoga was the perfect way to wake up followed by a delicious breakfast at their restaurant, Si Senor. The entire staff was more than accommodating and helped us set up excursions and taxis for fair prices. They are simply wonderful people and we can't wait to return. Thanks Amor! See you next time.

The rooms are beautiful, so it’s hard to give a mere single star, but this place really was a bummer for us.

What ruined it for us was the loud music playing next door on our last night, which was so loud in our room that we literally had to raise our voices to speak to each other in bed. The music went until around 1am. When we told the front desk how disappointing this was for a room we paid $300 a night for, they blamed the neighbors and tried to shirk responsibility. In my opinion, if you charge $300 a night, it’s expected that you would have solved for predictable challenges like noise pollution next door. I wouldn’t stay here again for free after this experience, and I definitely wouldn’t pay the rates they’re charging.

Add to this that the restaurant is overpriced and about the calibre of a Red Lobster or similar chain.

Reasonably trepidatious regarding traveling anywhere during the pandemic, I booked Villa del Sol at Amor Boutique Hotel for my friends and myself during the first week of our journey to Sayulita in Mid-February 2022.

Expecting to use that time to get my bearings and find an Airbnb for the next month, I instead found myself feeling so at home, cared for, and safe at Amor Boutique Hotel that I stayed for a month...as that was the maximum amount of time that worked out with their full calendar back in February/March.

I cannot say enough positive words about the front desk team, Eduardo and Ricardo, who made that stay possible by seamlessly working with my schedule and ever-changing needs/plans to find a way to continue to my stay. They always remembered my desire to remain in-house and were consistently readily available to ensure my friends and I remained comfortable. Thank you both!! As well as all supporting members of that team. Charismatic, knowledgeable, in touch with the local scene/purveyors, and actual caring humans. Forever grateful.

Equally, the housekeeping, maintenance, and groundskeeping teams are superior and always with a smile and helping hand. In our case, Isabel took diligent care of Villa del Sol in a manner of meticulousness and thought that I have yet to see from anyone on any other property in the the world. With the perfect balance, Isabel ensured our needs were always accounted for in the most subtle yet present way.

In my mind, there is nothing more important than trusting the people in your most personal space. Isabel nailed that on day one with grace, honesty, and integrity. Still in awe.

Overall, the Amor Boutique Hotel property is a total gem just ever so slightly off the beaten path and out of the way of any mayhem on the main beach of Sayulita. Go there. Immediately. It’s paradise.

Infinite gratitude to the entire team. After not having moved an inch off my own California property for the duration of the pandemic, your space was an immediate and full safe haven that allowed for my life to open back up again. I don’t know how you do it, but please keep it up. Respect.

I'm only halfway through my stay here, but I didn't want to wait to post my review. I love this place. The property is stunning, situated right on the ocean. Most of the villas are up high, so be prepared to walk up a fair amount. The rooms are charming and the views are incredible. The hotel is engulfed by jungle foliage. Walking around the grounds is intoxicating. I don't think there is a straight line anywhere! Everything is curved and flowing, very organic and natural. It's beautiful, quiet and restful.

The staff is wonderful! They have gone the extra mile for me in many ways in the last four days. The day I arrived there was a huge storm and many of the rooms got flooded, including mine. Samuel put me up for the first night in a villa that was way more expensive than the one I was booked in... at no extra charge. After three nights in my villa I wanted something a bit different. Samuel found me another one that had a better ocean view for the same price. And after one night in that villa I changed my mind again... and Norma graciously and generously found me a beautiful villa more to my liking.

When I first arrived, I was unable to make or receive any phone calls. Samuel and Ceclia let me use their phones for as long as it took to get the problem solved. And when I mentioned to Norma that my iPhone battery wasn't lasting very long, she offered me her own charger; that's customer service above and beyond!

We had booked an air bnb which was very disappointing, so we saunters over to the Amor Boutique Hotel and they were able to graciously accommodate us for six nights with no reservation.
The facilities were marvelous and we always felt like we were the most special guests because Eduardo, Georgiano and other called us by our names.
We would definately return to this hotel when we visit Sayulita.

Overall I’d give this stay 3.5 Stars. The view was top notch, the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating but a few things caused our stay to be less amazing than expected. We were excited to be able to book a last minute trip to Sayulita and stay in the Mi Amor Villa which boasts a beautiful view of the beach, a private balcony with an outdoor tub overlooking the ocean. The website does state that you must climb stairs to reach this room/view. Being healthy and fairly fit we underestimated the inconvenience this steep task would be on our relaxing vacation. These stairs are not for the faint of heart. 160 steep uneven steps will get you up to your room. Pause midway for a breather and by the time you reach the top you’ll be ready to lounge in the room and never leave again. It really isn’t a huge deal if you plan on staying in your room for the whole trip. We were excited to go swimming at the beach and into town for breakfast and dinner but that had us traipsing up and down those stairs 4x a day and it wasn’t fun. It was daunting and exhausting. To top it all off the week we were in Sayulita was over crowded and excessively noisy. The town was filled to the brim with partygoers celebrating the Holy Week of Easter. Mi Amor villa has zero soundproofing. Expect to be able to hear everything your neighbors are saying and doing. We couldn’t sleep at night because an awful beach nightclub was playing incessant techno music from 10pm to 5am every night. The sound somehow magically travels up into the room as if you are actually on the beach at this club. If you want peace and quiet relaxation go to Punta Mita instead.

There were two jobs in progress when we went to the Amor Boutique hotel: 1) Repair of Pescadores street that goes from the town of Sayulita to the hotel. The hotel told us nothing about it. When we arrived, the people of the town told us how to get there in our rented car, by a detour through Playa de los Muertos. This construction according to information from people of Sayulita began at the end of October 2018. The hotel could warn us and it did not. To go to the town we had to walk between tractors and trucks, with the consequent risk and inconvenience. We could not travel there in our car 2) Repair of rooms in hotel rooms. They were being done while we were there between January 14 and 17, 2019. Some pool was empty without water and others with water but with leaves of trees for several days. There was noise during the day of repair work in the nearby room.
