My spouse and two other couples who are Pastors from Des Moines came to Jamesport. B&B has private bathrooms and every room is themed in civil war decor & antiques. Nina and Myrick were wonderful hosts, the rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy with fresh towels. The food was authenic and Nina's European recipes added a beautiful touch to...

My wife and I have stayed in many B&B establishments especially in our home state of Wisconsin. I evaluate a B&B based on four factors - cleanliness, a breakfast with a "signature" dish, amenities, and availability of innkeepers. This establishment failed in all four categories. The interior of the house had a layer of dust on virtually everything. We had...

The Rose Room bedding was smelly like the sheets were not changed, wi fi did not work so Myrick said the open one was faster ? Didn't know if it was in the area. At breakfast Myricks wife took all the drinking glasses off the table and put them in the cupboard, the problem was three of us drank from...

I rented the entire bed and breakfast for one night. The owner is extremely accommodating and nice. Will visit about amazing things from the area and is full of exciting stories. He also owns a Clydesdale named Clyde along with a 3 bench carriage for daytime and sunset rides. We chose the sunset tour, lasted nearly 2 hours with a...

My wife and I spent our wedding anniversary in the Veranda room. It was a great experience. Myrick the owner gave us the grand tour of the area from his horse drawn carriage. It was at sunset and a gorgeous way to end our time in the B&B! Myrick is very friendly and makes you feel at home. If you...

Dark and needs some kind of updating. Not clean. Felt like it might have been cleaned back in the 90's. I think although the owners are nice people, their heart is not into what it takes to run a B&B. Instead selling side products of Forever was more of the focus.

Stayed 2 nights in Veranda room. Bed cover had holes in it, pillow had stains on it. Very visible cobwebs from ceiling to canopy. Table cover in bathroom and doilies all stained. The charm and decor of the room was nice and could have been so much better with just a little cleaning and updating. Same for other spots downstairs...

I'd read previous reviews but thought the location was ideal so I booked 2 rooms. Pulling up outside told me the reviews were likely correct. The yard desperately needs attention. The weeds in the back were out of control as well as a TON of building materials behind the residence side. A bed and breakfast should be better attended to....

This stay at Country Colonial B&B was not a very good experience for us. Our room was VERY dusty, our trash and used towels and wash clothes were not ever picked up. It was a very cold experience for a B&B. You didn't see the owners after you checked in till breakfast the next morning and after that you didn't...

Our Pastoral staff held a retreat at Country Colonial Bed and Breakfast in Jamesport Mo. The rooms were decorated in historic civil war era, the rooms and private bathrooms were just the start. The carriage ride and "big spread" breakfast was the icing to the cake! We will refer this b&b for any individual or private retreat for small groups!
