Last weekend I stayed at the Hotel Phillips with 4 other friends and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kansas City. First of all location of the hotel was fantastic: it was within a few minutes walking to get to the Sprint Center, Power & Light District, and also the KC Streetcar which can take you throughout downtown....

New renovations are wonderful. Quaint, historic hotel with updated rooms. Staff is extremely helpful. Walking distance to Sprint Center, restaurants, shopping, and free metro street car. Free shuttle was really nice too.

Arriving on a this past Sunday and after reviewing the reviews on this hotel previously I elected to request an upgrade to a corner room. Which I received upon arrival. The food has been good as has been the staff. The room is clean and in fact very nice. The only two complaints I have are:1. having survived a near-fatal...

I loved the look of the hotel. I met so many different people while eating at the bar. The hotel was outstanding. The first room was dirty but when I went back to the hotel front desk they gave me another room in a matter of seconds and I never had a problem again. The valet was very nice. I...

Unless there is only one of you and you have no need for amenities, don't stay here. The rooms are tiny, old, no refrigerator with expensive parking. Go to the Hilton President up the street instead. I made it very clear when booking the room what we needed, they told me they had it and they had nothing close to...

Our apologies that you were not fully satisfied with our hotel. We do believe that we have a beautiful hotel, having just completed a $20 million dollar renovation. Being a historic hotel, we do have rooms of varying sizes. It sounds like you did not actually stay at the hotel, which is unfortunate. I am glad we were able to...

Location: We stayed during the Big 12 tournament the location was perfect, we walked to the Power & Light district each day. Room: We had a corner room, it was very nice with a nice view. The room is small,...

The room I had was one of the biggest I have stayed in. I know there is a smaller king room...I stayed in the room with a sitting area with a couch and desk. Everything in the room was great and even had a coffee maker. The room was fantastic but I was never told what the amenities at the...

I came to the hotel in order to attend an event at the Convention Center. The hotel is close to the Convention Center and to many other popular venues such as the Folly Theater and the Power and Light District. The room was spacious with a nice desk and work area. Serious problems were however apparent from the moment I...

Cool hotel. Can totally appreciate the rich history and beauty of this hotel. A little dark in some areas, e.g., elevators but overall gorgeous. And the room was the quietest hotel room I have EVER stayed in anywhere! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful Art Deco hotel, a member of Historic Hotels of America. The room was comfortable, the staff uniformly cheerful and helpful/ We enjoyed several meals in the restaurant. The food was very good contemporary Italian and the cocktails really outstanding. The Speakeasy lounge is delightful and an amusing connection with the early years...
