Detailed Reviews
I am really giving this a 3+ or Good rating. Admittedly it was a last minute reservation and I was thrilled to get a room on a Friday night. The room had a king size bed and a clean bathroom - check! The window A/C unit did not keep the room as cold as I like and the place is very outdated with a monitor sized TV and old sofa sleeper. But I would reserve a room again if I needed to as it is located very near friends and family.

SurfGirl ... Thanks for providing comments on your recent stay. Our goal is to provide a Clean and Comfortable Guest room at an Economical price. We've been experiencing some pretty brutal heat waves over the last few weekends which do challenge the A/C units. We are also using 32 inch flat screen TV's in our upgraded accommodations which make for a fairly large monitor! Hope to see you back again the next time your travels bring you back to the Lake of the Ozarks!

This Motel is a single story building with the entry door to the rooms from the outside. That means that you can park in front of your room and it is only a few feet from the car to the door of the room. That fact is why I picked this place to stay at. I couldn't find another hotel like this. The above information about the room is misleading. All the rooms do not have a microwave and refrigerator. Only the Deluxe rooms have those. The moderate rooms and economy rooms do not have those. If all the rooms had both of those, with the price based on other things, this motel would be the greatest one in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed. We stayed in a deluxe room because of the microwave and refrigerator. The room had plenty of space. The bed was Ok, but if it hadn't been, I could have slept on the couch. It was very comfortable. My wife can sleep on a hard bed. There is a table with two chairs to sit at. The chairs are not very comfortable, but they are OK. There is no sink in the bathroom. The toilet paper holder is mounted on the wall where the door is. That makes it more than an arm length away from the toilet. You would have to lean over to get it and would only be able to use one hand. I don't have this problem. When I travel by car, I always bring 3 things with me. 1. toilet paper that I like. 2. a pedestal toilet paper holder that stands about 2 1/2 to 3 feet tall and can be placed in the room where needed. 3. a toilet brush. There was only one bar of bath soap. When I am in the room, I do not wear shoes or socks. Either the carpet or the tile was dirty because when in the shower, as soon as my feet get wet, the water turns black. Overall, these things are not bad enough to make me pick another place to stay. So if I return to the area, I will probably want to stay here again.

Thank you for the detailed review of your stay with us ... we appreciate hearing from our guests. You are correct in that all rooms do not have the extra amenities ... we do have some guests that don't require them and therefore appreciate the lower price. Once you begin booking the reservations, each room does detail which amenities are included. We agree on the placement of the toilet paper holder .. 30+ years ago .. the builder must have thought it was a good idea .. but we also see his predicament, there really isn't a better place for it! We supply each bathroom with 1 over sized bath soap and several bottles of bath gel .. giving the guest their choice. We also agree that bed preferences are a very personal choice ... probably why there are so many options for us to choose. We go for a middle of the road firm rated mattress with a pillow top. And lastly ..every room is on a rotation basis for carpet shampooing ... we will be asking our Housekeeping staff if any particular rooms need some extra attention. Again ... thank you ... and we look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to the Lake of the Ozarks. Mike David

The bed was very hard. You could see the light thru the main door. Good thing-it was close to what where we needed to go. Staff was very friendly. My Uncle had a king size suite and his bed was very comfortable.

The beds are as uncomfortable as you can get, holes in the bedspreads and tiny flat pillows. Everything is dated, old, and heavily used. Found long black hair in the bathtub and an old used wash cloth on top of the shower curtain. The towels are the size of hand towels and the sheets and blankets are old and scratchy. The front desk closes at 9 p.m. so there's NO 24 hour accessibility. They are NOT pet friendly.

This is a very old hotel that has never been updated nor clean. The carpet was filthy with dead spiders (dark brown so blend in) but if you look it's not cleaned well. Would not walk without shoes, or sit on the furniture - also old and dirty. Furniture very dated and chipped up. Windows so old and dirty you can not see out of them. Says no dogs allowed but saw and heard several over the couple night stay. Told I would be on the front side which is supposedly a little more updated but when I arrived said there wasn't availability. Guest on the front side told me the rooms were not nice either. Bad experience and costs way too much for the condition. I would drive 30 minutes plus to find somewhere else. Find another option.

Sorry we were not able to meet your expectations. It's unusual for us to have negative comments about the cleanliness of our guest rooms as our housekeeping staff takes great pride in their work. Again .. sorry you were disappointed.

I read the negative reviews on here and I must say, that it is a slightly older motel and it is in need of a few minor repairs. However, The staff was great, room cleaned daily, all hotel items worked, hot water, t.v. etc. We stayed at this motel for a construction project we had going in the area. Stayed twice each for four nights. It is what it is, a cheap place to stay with a hot shower and a bed. For the price and location I don't know how you can go wrong. If your picky or looking for a four or five star hotel, please drive farther and stay at one. This is a budget hotel and close to Sunrise Beach area we were working. The staff was great and we slept fine. There was seven guys staying in three rooms and we were taken care of. The rooms are older and show signs of use. ( Stayed at a casino hotel in St.Louis that was far worst) it shows it age, but could tell it was well cleaned.

The bed had tons of stains. The floor in bathroom never cleaned. The 70s orange carpet was black from years of dirt. Shower had black mold on the walls and the curtain. The owner and staff were rude and unprofessional. Was planning to stay two nights got my money back and drove further it's worth the drive.

Basic room for a basic price. I just needed a bed, a bathroom, and WiFi. I stayed in room 42, and it was clean and comfortable. The front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful, and check-in was fast and efficient. Yes, it is an older hotel, but everything was sufficient. There were no issues for me. There was a personal coffee machine and a cable TV in the room. The rates for this hotel are a bit above an average base rate, but that is simply because of its location (location, location, location!) to the lake. I would easily stay there again.
