We just left lake paradise resort and are so disgusted with this so called resort. It is the end of May so everything should be up and ready for the summer by now. It wasn't! The cabin was small, the lake was nothing but scum after we paid ten dollars to fish and forty to rent a cabin we couldn't...

My husband stayed summers here in the 80's. He loved it and wanted to revisit. We went out of season, don't do. Poor quality accommodations available out of season. No amenities either. We were very disappointed! The staff was very nice to come open up out of season, though. The prices were same for out of season as in season,...

This was our second trip to Lake Paradise. The first was in 2011 and if i'm not mistaken, it was a different owner then. My family and i enjoyed both visits. We stayed in a Rustic Cabin by Lake Moonlight the first time and it was nice but this time (June 2014) we tried their Camper and that seems to...

Stay away if possible. The owner is very shady. We stayed here and he seemed friendly at check in but went downhill fast. He said they have great amenities....but they charge for all of them...then they would not be amenities if you charge for them right? He did not even tell us they charge for them and when we asked...

This is a good neighbor park, that's about all it is! The owner is so outta touch with big rig owners, thinks we can turn them around like nothing! We came in and went to office which was at the top of a hill, had to make a u-turn to go to our site, which was so unlevel, mind you...

We camped at Lake Paradise over Memorial weekend and it was very nice. Yes, it is older, but is close to Lee's Summit, Mo. The fishing was great, it was like the lakes had just been stocked. Mainly catch and release, but a great place for kids to fish. The pool was being worked on, but too cold to swim...

“The cabins are very reasonably priced, you can't even rent a hotel room for that!”

“Avoid most of the Beaver Canyon section until they renovate it (Not sure they are planning to anytime soon). Mountain Eagle is shaded but not near the water. Black Bear ridge reminds me of a miners camp in Alaska. Whippoorwhill is quiet and secluded.”

“All of the cabins have electricity, but are equipped with queen beds only. The Rustic cabins have bathrooms, but the Cozy cabins do not. Also, the Rustic cabins are two to a building and they share a porch.”
