I spent three nights here and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The place is natural and amazing. The cabin was well decorated and comfortable. There was a good selection of teas and cocoa supplied. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and such for any of the cooking I did. I can't wait to go back and explore the cave more... More

We really enjoyed our stay although we arrived late and left early. We were there to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder Home & Museum across the street. Barb took the time to tell us all about the nearby sites and was genuinely interested in our trip. Our cottage was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Nearby the mansfield... More

The location is great and very peaceful. The cabins are very clean and well worth the price. Everyone was very nice and very accommodating to all our needs. We enjoyed exploring the cave on the property and fishing in the pond. We will definitely be back next year.

We just returned from our trip to Mansfield. A group of girl friends stayed in side by side cabins. The cabins are neat clean and color cordinated. Being color cordinated may seem unimportant to some, but it truly adds to the calm feeling of the cabins. The beds were quite comfortable and we snuggled in every night undrr the cute... More

Mansfield Woods is a lovely get a way from the hustle bustle of city life. My husband and I wanted a quiet get a way for our 31st wedding anniversary and couldn't have found a better place. The people in town were friendly and Barbara and Pop went out of there way to make us comfortable. Sitting on the porch,... More

My wife and I stumbled upon this little gem called Mansfield Woods and,,, Wow. What an experience. From the rustic exterior and the short gorgeous drive through a green meadow and Oak trees, you are treated to a feeling of isolation in the woods, Even though you are only a short distance from the highway. We spent a wonderful week... More

Ideal location, nature at it's finest. Rustic though not luxury but we didn't want that. The views of the stars are amazing! The walks you take will be the same ones Laura took down gorgeous country roads because you are literally right across the street from her house. It's the country!

Our stay at Mansfield Woods was a wonderful experience for us. The cabin was immaculate and every possible detail was provided to make our retreat relaxing and fun. There was a full size kitchenette stocked with coffee/tea and even matching dishes! (A plus for some women!) Mansfield Woods offers a quiet, rustic retreat. We sat on our deck in the... More

For the life of me I cannot figure out why some people have to be so negative about everything in life. The person that gave Mansfield Woods a negative review would NOT give ANY place a good review. They are just like that and nothing could be further from the truth. I know the owner personally and I feel that... More

My husband and I stayed here for a second time recently. It was just as great as we remembered only even more beautiful than our last trip in the Fall. We love how pet friendly the place is, how private the rooms are, and the peace and beauty of the atmosphere. There are a lot of cute little shops nearby... More
