Spent 3 nights camping. Warmly greeted on arrival by friendly staff and shown to our pitch, which was surrounded by bushes giving us some privacy. The pitch had its own firepit, which we cooked on each day and purchased logs from the onsite shop. There are 2 showers and 2 toilets for campers and considering how busy the site was, only had to queue a couple of times for the loo and showers often available. Nice washing up area too. All kept clean, with hand sanitiser around the site. Loved hearing the owls during the night! If you do have a noisy neighbour, they are asked to keep the noise down after 11pm which is appreciated! Really lovely site and can’t wait to return!

We went with our two kids (aged 7 and 10) in September 2021 and the place is so popular we had to book in February 2021, rightly so! We got there and from the off, the owners were really kind and welcoming, showing us round the Higgledy Treehouse while the kids were already finding its nooks and crannies.
The treehouse was small but exquisite and everything was made out of wood. One the first night we had a fire and made burgers (you were given some wood but if you wanted kindling or big wood you had to buy it.)
In the treehouse there were two beds for two people per bed and a toilet and shower in the turret. We went when it was warm in the day and got chilly in the night but, even when it was cold the treehouse stayed warm. You could see the stars and hear the owls in the forest. Other than the owls, it was silent. In the kitchen there was a toaster, a two ringed electric hob, a fridge and a kettle. On our second day day we walked up South Downs Way - the views were wonderful.
The campsite was really atmospheric and well-maintained: we enjoyed using the table tennis table, football goal and well-equipped playground.
All in all we had a fantastic time and left feeling very refreshed. We plan to return!

I booked the Higgledy treehouse for my partner’s birthday and we had a really great experience.
Almost everything was made of wood, from the light switches, plug sockets and the loo roll holder! I’d never stayed anywhere like this before and it was really beautiful. There’s even an oak tree coming out from the outdoor balcony.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The on-site shop was very good value considering they could’ve chosen to take advantage of the fact that there’s no supermarkets nearby- it was a refreshing stance and will make me buy from there again instead of overpacking everything.
There are nice walks and the area is a relatively short drive to Brighton & Crawley. In the evenings we had fires, toasted marshmallows and a BBQ.
There was noise one evening from a nearby campsite (loud music/singing) but this was quickly dealt with by the warden which really reassured us to come back in the future without the worry of unwanted noise keeping us up and ruining the peace. Unfortunately some people aren’t considerate so I really appreciate the no music/loud noises rule.
Our one and only niggle!
The WiFi in the treehouse didn’t work at all; it came up with signal on my partner’s and my phones but we never got any reception. To reiterate this didn’t affect our score (we came here for nature- it was just a minor inconvenience when trying to use Sat nav/receiving WhatApp messages etc).
I 100% recommend, we look forward to camping here in the future.

We (2 families with kids age 8-14) stayed in both tree house. Both Higgledy and Piggledy are unique in its own way. Piggledy is slightly more spacious living area than higgledy and it is more modern in design. Higgledy has the comfortable loft bed which the kids enjoy, more antique and the share tenancy with the squirrels on the outside squirrel box. (We were waken by the rustling of the squirrels every morning but we didn’t mind as it was the tree house after all)
We love the decors in both of them as much thoughts have been put into to designing them.
One thing in Higgledy is the hot water is limited to maximum of 2 persons at a time. Piggledy uses electric shower.
Most essential were provided (towels, teas, coffee). I would suggest management to provide bathroom mat due to the wet floor in bathroom.
The management were very friendly and we were able to roam freely into the woods safely. Kids enjoy the surroundings so much, and the playground.
We brought food there for most meals to fully enjoy the treehouse. Marshmallow is a must for kids and u can enjoy sitting at the terrace even in winter as the chimenea would keep u warm.
We drove to family friendly Half Moon Pub for lunch and food was lovely and staffs were friendly, reasonably priced . Highly recommended and must book in advance.
It was an amazing tree house stay. I would also return for camping in this place as all the pitches were individually surrounded or separated by tree hedges which gives privacy to the campers. Toilets and shower rooms were very clean.

My self and my partner have just returned from a lovely weekend at blackberry Woods. We chose to take our own tent and pay for a camping plot, we were allocated Bramber Hide which was a lovely seclusion just for us with a table, and a fire pit with griddles for cooking over the fire, and logs to sit on around the warm fire.
Skye and the team were so welcoming and made us feel really welcome, we would definitely return. The toilets and showers were amazing too.
There is a handy shop on site which we didn't need to use but it's nice knowing it was there incase we forgot to pack anything, we did purchase wood there which was very reasonably priced. The site it's self was so clean and tidy, the playpark for children looked amazing, and the bridges and they had areas to help the animals that live there (bug hotels, wood piles).
We got lost on a walk on the Saturday and we were worried that we would miss the shop and not have any wood, but skye was lovely and left the wood out for us, and we paid in the morning.
It was a lovely peaceful break away
And we will 100% return.
Highly recommended the site.

Two of us stayed for two nights in February. Curvy Cabin is warm, cosy, well-equipped and has a bbq pit outside it that we used during a break in the rain. Really lovely little site and it was good fun to see the fire engine, helicopter etc all around us. But without a doubt, curvy cabin looked like the most comfortable place to stay.

We cannot recommend this campsite enough. We stayed for 3-nights in the 'On the wildside' campsite, we loved having our own little clearing in the woodland with its own campfire, perfect for a young couple like us (and for everyone else). It's a beautifully spaced out campsite, you have your own space but there is a real sense of community which is lovely and the staff are so lovely. It is a basic campsite but still has everything you could want from a campsite, the showers are warm, toilets are clean and a great washing up area.
Really can't say enough good things about the campsite ! We will be returning I'm sure.

As a peace loving adult of a certain age with no offspring, I wasn't sure if Blackberry Wood suited my holiday needs but the strong desire to stay in a treehouse over-rode these doubts. I booked a couple of nights midweek with a friend into Piggledy and fell in love with treehouse living.
I was expecting 'quirky' but not branches around my bed wound with fairy lights and saucepans used as porthole windows. The family of squirrels just up the tree from the roof kept us amused while they raced around chasing each other and occasionally peeping out at us. My initial fear that the house would be cold was dispelled as soon as I put the radiator on and it became toasty warm. On our last morning the rain lashed down. I took a photo and someone remarked that it looked just like Costa Rica!
The first night we ordered a take away from Tiny Thai and the food was delivered piping hot to our treetop terrace. Highly recommended. We cooked on the second night as not keen on walking or driving down the narrow lane in the dark to one of the nearby pubs. There is a shop on the campsite but also a small supermarket about two miles away in Plumpton Green so self catering is very very easy.
As adults, the experience was excellent and would definitely book again. Off season and midweek it is quiet and lovely to wander around the woods and feel at one with nature.
On the other hand, if you have children or grandchildren, this place is absolutely magical and one that will stay in memories forever. Lots of quirky redundant vehicles to stay in or just plain camping with plenty of facilities. All over the woods are little glades, each named, where you can have your own camp fire. There is even a small adventure playground which we came across and had a go at the climbing wall and then went down the flume.
It was all great fun and I look forward to going back one day.

Just back from a brilliant winter weekend in the woods. We stayed in the Curvy Cabin which was clean, cosy, well equipped and spacious. The bathroom was nice, the shower was hot and the beds were extremely comfortable.
Although the cabin is designed for 4 people, we squeezed an extra child into the bunk bed and still had plenty of space.
We loved the outdoor space and cooking sausages on a campfire in the dark in February was a real highlight! The woods were great for the kids to explore and the playground in the woods was brilliant.
The campsite staff were friendly and helpful and we all had a fantastic time.

We camped (rather than staying in the treehouses or other units) and it was absolutely fantastic. Couldn't fault it; lovely pitches and the showers were lovely and warm. There's a handy little shop on site, and they have meals (pizza, shawarma, crepes) in the evenings if you don't fancy cooking for yourself.
This was such an amazing find, and we'll definitely be back next year.

We didn’t stay on the wild side so I’m not 100% sure. Everyone in the main car park was using wheelbarrows, but I don’t know if there is another car park for the adults only x
Hi, yes they have, I would recommend Piggledy Tree House as it is all on one level!
Only one of the two beds made up in the tree house :-) that’s fine though as we only needed one bed
