Don't let entrance to this Villa hotel from the main road put off on arrival. It is difficult to describe how wonderful this location is from the beach side of the property. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations, from the service to the best food we have had in Sri Lanka three weeks into our month long trip.

The beach and villas are stunning and we had a lovely cool breeze blowing off the ocean during our stay, which just added to the experience. The 43m pool that fronts the villas and overlooks the beach is great if you enjoy swimming.

There are 4 Villas and guests get to use the communal area at the front of the villa they are staying in, which is a nice touch. With only 14 rooms in total across the 4 Villas, the experience and service feels very personal.

Isn't it wonderful how you step inside through the gate from the road, and it all changes! And a tropical oasis by the sea awaits... We are so glad to hear that everything exceeded your expectations - including the service and the food. And, of course, our 43 m saltwater infinity pool. As a boutique property, our aim is to provide personalised service - as our guests relax, and we take care of all their needs. Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed review.

We had planned to stay for three nights back in March but due to the covid curfew we ended up arriving a day early and extending our stay by a couple of days. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful with our changing plans. They kept us up to date with the news on the constantly changing curfew rules and took care of all the paper work which was required.
The property itself was perfect. It has a large pool, the length of the hotel and is set right on the beach. We upgraded to the sea view room for the last couple of nights which is definitely worth it. The rooms are light and airy and tastefully decorated. You can tell a lot of effort has gone into the design and layout of the property. Each beautiful villa contains 3 large self contained rooms and then there is a large communal area. From our balcony you could see turtles in the waves. This was definitely one of the most eco friendly hotels we stayed in in Sri Lanka. They had locally sourced toiletries in refillable bottles (they even provide aftersun and insect repellent) and provide filtered water in glass bottles.
Because of curfew we ate at the hotel restaurant everyday and every meal was excellent. Not the cheapest food on the island but still a bargain compared to UK standards for such high quality food. The seafood was amazing and they did some really good salads for lunch. Breakfast is plentiful, the Sri Lankan hoppers were amazing but they also had lighter options and each comes with a fresh juice of the day and a plate of fruit. Lunch and dinner had plenty of choice for a 5 night stay. They also have a specials board with a daily changing evening special plus a discounted wine of the day. You have the choice of eating by the beach or at one of the tables inside the villas. They also have happy hour between 4-5.
The service was excellent, everyone was so friendly and helpful at what was a worrying time for them. I can’t thank them enough. If you’re in the area then stay at the hotel

There are no words to describe how perfect Sri Sharavi Beach Villas & Spa hotel is for a relaxing and romantic holiday. We booked this boutique beach resort as my birthday getaway and spent five nights. Really wish we could extend as it was the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Location: it is located in the south, 2.5hrs from Colombo Airport and 10mins drive from Mirissa centre by Tuk Tuk.

Rooms: we stayed in the Deluxe Suite for the first 4 nights and moved to the Ocean Signature Suite on the last night. Both rooms are so spacious with a living room setting, beautiful decor and furniture and private balcony. Of course, we preferred the Ocean Signature Suite as it overlooks the swimming pool and ocean, has a bigger terrace with lounges and a small dining table. The view from the room was just breathtaking and could not get enough of it. The bed and pillows were pure comfort, so comfortable that it was hard to get up in the morning and would want to take it back home with you 😇.

Swimming Pool & Beach: well what can I say? Imagine having a 42m wide swimming pool all for yourself most of the time. The beach is a pristine white long stretch Beach ideal for long walks in the morning. However the sea was quite wavy and didn't swim in it. Most of the time, we would just sit by the swimming pool, taking in the sun and watch the ocean. I can't describe how relaxing it was.

Restaurant & Food: we had most of our meals at Sharavi Beach Hut restaurant on the beach. Breakfast was a la carte serving healthy options. We had most of our meals (lunch & dinner) there, food is really yummy and should definitely try the Sri Lankan Breakfast.

Finally, the service is outstanding. I would give everything 10 out of 10. A big bravo to the owners, the general manager Marcy, Sandeep and the whole team for the dedication and passion to deliver exceptional guest service. It was truly an unforgettable holiday and count the days until we return.

My wife and I loved this villa much, especially the room and the swimming pool. The room has a closet for you to chnage clothes, the bed is covered with mosquito net, though there are no mosquitoes indeed. The air-conditioning, LED tv and cable box are good for a relaxing in the room for the night (as not many other activities in the area). For couples who desire quiet and clean lodging, this is a number one choice I would recommend.

I have just returned from an 8 night stay at Sri Sharavi Beach Villas and have to say it was wonderful. If you are looking for relaxation, great customer service, spotlessly clean rooms, good food this really is the place for you. I have to say that before my visit I did read a couple of negative reviews (although most were excellent) so let me put a couple of things straight.

This property is on the beach front and there absolutely is direct access to the beach. One side there are steps and the other side is an easy step on to the sand. I have attached a photo.
There is a new hotel going up next door which did concern me. I heard absolutely no building work while I was there and it does not spoil any views. If you want to position yourself so that you can take a negative photo, of course you can! Its a real shame they are building it but don't worry.
The photos on their website and facebook absolutely show what you are getting. It is so well kept and clean.
The service is great and the staff are very attentive. Some of the staff aren't fluent in English but they don't need to be fluent.

We stayed in the Ocean Signature Suite and it was lovely. If/when I go back I will certainly pick this room again as I think it is worth it. The view from the room and balcony are lovely. If that isn't your priority or it isn't in budget the other rooms are lovely.

Breakfasts were all lovely (you must try the hoppers) as is the all day dining. Your options for eating are the outside tables, your own balcony or the shared areas in the villa. We used all 3 options. You might not get the selection you get in a big hotel buffet but I much prefer having my food cooked fresh to order.

If you are looking for 4 or 5 air conditioned restaurants and bars, children's clubs, multiple pools, sport centre etc this isn't for you but if you want a relaxing small hotel with great service that is spotlessly clean I would suggest it is.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights, Friday to Monday, and it was a beautiful weekend. We were greeted warmly and shown to our room in a timely manner. We opted for the Palm Double Room which was a perfect size for two people and it happened to be on the ground floor so we could walk right out to the gorgeous saltwater infinity pool which extended the length of the property. I must say the room was quite nice; it had its own terrace with greenery and a table with chairs behind a full wall of windows and 100% privacy.
The bed was comfortable and clean as was the rest of the room and bathroom.

The staff was very attentive and spoke English well. The food was very good; we ordered an array of items from the menu and everything was delicious and nicely presented. We felt no need to leave the property at all; although we knew beach access was available and there were other attractions/restaurants around.
I had the pleasure of participating in the complimentary yoga sessions with Chantal under the palm trees the first day and in our villa the second (it was raining).
Sri Sharavi Beach Villas is a wonderful place to stay in Southern Sri Lanka. I highly recommend it.

Visited for a week and this was the perfect place to relax.

We stayed in one of the Ocean Signature Suites and it was amazing. The room is huge, bed is comfy, views are amazing. Hearing the waves crash on the beach and nothing else is a great way to wake.

Location is ideal if you want a quiet night around the accommodation or you can get a tuk tuk to go into the busier Mirissa or Weligama.

There is easy access to the huge, quiet beach via some well made steps.

The spa was fantastic and well worth checking out for added relaxation.

Breakfast is out of this world. Fresh fruit, amazing coffee and plenty of choice. The Sri Lankan breakfast is a must try (order it the night before).

Food is served all day from the Sharavi Beach Hut and there are plenty of options on the menu - even for vegetarians like us

Finally, the staff here are so friendly and attentive. They make sure everything is spot on from your rooms to serving drinks, getting your food just right. Front of house were also amazing - helping us arrange airport transfers, covid tests and giving us hints and tips on what to do in the area.

We couldn’t have asked for more and had the best holiday.

Thanks to the whole Sharavi team and we hope to come back and see you again!

This was one of our favourite stays of the trip, the location was a little out of town which was okay, but probably a bit more than you want to walk in and out every time, plus side was that it's a fair bit quieter. The complex and room was immaculate!! And was cleaned and had turn down service. It has everything you need within it, the rooms are huge and offer great views. The pool is huge and it feels like it's your own place. The staff are very friendly and speak pretty good English, only had a couple of miscommunications, which were really quickly adjusted. The morning yoga was an awesome highlight. Would be great for couples or large groups.

Our two-week stay was a true slice of heaven. We were blown over from begin to the very last minute by the hotel itself and staff who cater to all the needs one might have. Especially given the challenging circumstances ongoing in the country, as guest you need not forego anything. Lenora and his team succeeded in making every effort to make our stay as lovely as possible.

We can only reiterate the comments from the previous posts: we loved the small-scale set-up with spacious, clean rooms and comfortable beds. In our opinion there’s little that beats waking up in the morning to the sound of waves breaking in the background. The hotel is secluded yet not far off from sights or towns. The service as mentioned is superb with a heartfelt smile. The rooms themselves offer phenomenal views over the incredible 40 metre pool and the beach directly behind it (the fence has been removed so you have direct access!). There’s ample choice of delicious foods (local favourites and international cuisine), an excellent spa, and to boot the occasional spotting of a monkey or porcupine scurrying over the property.

Cut short: definitely worth the raving reviews! A thousand times “sthuthi”, we hope to visit again!

Our 2 week stay was so wonderful, that we extended by another week.
The food, the rooms, the service and the beautiful surroundings make for the perfect holiday.
The staff was very competent, friendly and attentive which made our stay even more special.
The food, especially the Sri Lankan cuisine was delicious and the menu is very fairly priced.
The Spa offers a variety of massages that we can highly recommend.
Even though there are quarantine restrictions we were able to go on memorable excursions like whale watching and jungle trekks.
Will definitely be coming back.

Hi, we also stayed in the palm double room, which was perfect even without the sea view. The second you walk out of your room the sea is right there. You can spend time in the sitting/dinning or kitchen areas which all have the benefit of the sea view. This is great if you want to read and aren’t keen on sunbathing by the pool. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did! Caroline
