The place is a classic 50's décor hotel/motel that time forgot. The beds were terrible with some sort of plastic wrap over the mattress that was loud and uncomfortable. The sheets and bedspread were old and stained like everything in the room. bad, the AC was either on full blast or off and it was loud! Would not stay there... More

My family and I booked two cabins and rented a pontoon boat. The rooms were fine for a weekend at the lake. The pontoon boat was a little older, but worked just fine. The marina staff were excellent, patient and so helpful! Our only real complaint was that the water in the room smelled of sulfur. The hotel and marina... More

I really cannot give this a good review for anything and I can be satisfied with very little when I only need a place to sleep. Dirt on the floor and furniture, stains in the bathroom, sink wouldn't drain well...and don't get me started on the smell. There must have been a dead mouse in the wall or under the... More

I was down at Stockton lake this past weekend. Beautiful lake. Had so much fun enjoying the water we decided to stay a few more days. Unfortunately the place we were staying was all booked so we decided to give Orleans Trail Resort a try. When you first pull up to the cabin you are not expecting the ritz. We... More

We rented a pontoon from Orleans Marina over this past 4th of July weekend. They rent old, dilapidated pontoons. We rented it for 8 hrs and payed more then we do for newer, better equipped pontoons on Table Rock Lake. The engine worked but that's about it on this boat! The stereo didn't even work. They don't allow you to... More

The people who run the resort side are courteous professional people. However the coward that runs the marina and I think owns the place. I believe his name is Ron. Sells overpriced fish food to entice the children to feed the carp from the dock. Then feels he has the right to put his hands on the children if they... More

We stayed in the newer facility, not the cabins, on a weekend visit. I saw negative reviews before, but since we stayed here in the past, we came anyway. We found the room to be very very clean, and quite comfortable. It was a King Size bed and the room was nice and big so you had plenty of room... More

We have stayed at this resort for 20+ years and cant believe the nasty reviews on this site. Its not the Hilton, they dont claim to be the Hilton, but what they do claim is that they are a quaint family run resort located on the gorgeous Stockton Lake that offers a marina, hotel rooms, cabins and camping on the... Orleans Trail is a family owned, lake front Resort on the pristine shores of Stockton Lake. We offer standard hotel rooms (2 Queens or 1 King), Suites in the hotel facility that offer 1 queen bed with a seperate living area that has a pull out loveseat and a mini kitchen with a full size refrigerator, microwave and breakfast bar. We have a 2 bedroom suite also in the hotel facility that offers the same ammenities as the above suite but it offers 2 bedrooms, each with 1 queen size bed and a pull out loveseat. We also offer cabins that are ideal for the fisherman... these are set up just like a hotel room with either 2 queen beds or 1 king bed. The cabins are air conditioned with television, mini coffee pot and bathroom with shower only (no tubs). Our cabins offer a more rustic, less expensive option for the folks that like to come to the lake but aren't looking to "rough it". Orleans Trail also offers a full service Marina with yearly or over night boat slips, fishing boat and pontoon rentals, scuba air, full service marine repair shop and much more! Orleans Trail Restaurant is open March to October. We offer salads, sandwiches, burgers, steaks and seafood. We have a full service lounge to quench your thirst after a long, hot day on the lake or to take in that game that you just don't want to miss! ... more   less
