Arrived late on Friday night. Front desk clerk very nice. Room very clean but had a STRONG smell of cleaning chemicals. Very over powering. Other than that the room was clean, quiet, beds were great, and great shower. Was skeptical after seeing reviews but I would stay here again!
We booked this on booking.com. When we drove up, we noticed right away that the exterior needed some TLC. My husband went in and registered, and noticed that the odor in the lobby was unpleasant. We went ahead and took our things into the hotel and the odor in the room was bad as well. I do not know if the odor was from some type of ethnic cooking or if it was from incense, but it was overpowering. The "king" room was very crowded and there was no place to put anything down. The room did not appear to be very clean either. We decided to cancel, took our things out, and found a more suitable place to stay. I do not recommend this hotel. We would not have stayed even if we would have had to forfeit the amount we had paid. However, we were refunded the total amount.
Well, I didn't expect much nor did I get much. The room had an odor of cleaner. No Kleenex, and I had a cold. Half a roll of TP with no spare. The person working the check-in counter told me they didn't supply Kleenex and I could have a new roll of toilet paper if I brought her the empty roll. Really?
If what you have in mind is breakfast at this rate, think again. For brerakfast they have some danish, muffins and a jar of coffee from a run down gas station. What gets me mad in this small place is the darn Asian incense that woke me up in the middle of the night thinking I am in a Buddha shrine. The whole front desk is filled with this incense but to get it to the whole hotel is a NO NO for me. This place should be used when the town hotels and homeless shelters are full.
The bed was very comfortable. The rate was cheap. But if you stay here for the free breakfast like we did... Don't be fooled. It consisted of dollar store tiny muffins & processed packaged Danish. We had to ask him for creamer for the coffee. And he was reluctant to give us more than one each. Sad breakfast on this 3,000 mile road trip. Room was nice though. Clean & fresh even with the smell of curry wafting through the entire hotel. No more Knights inn on this trip.
