Great location...the Many Glacier area was likely my favorite in all of Glacier, albeit our visit was hampered by wildfires. The hotel is whimsical, with the bell service dressed in lederhosen, and the food service very friendly. The views across the Swiftcurrent Lake are

The building itself is historic and beautiful. I am glad we stayed but not sure I would want to stay a full week. These old buildings are loud with creaky floors so you hear every move above you and in the hallways. Xanterra is the concessionaire and the food options are

The Many Glacier Hotel is well worth the splurge! We chose to stay at this 100+ year old hotel which is the heart of many Glacier Park. It has retained its wonderful character, while having bright rooms, comfortable beds, fluffy sheets and linens, and a tiny coffee pot. There is

Front desk clerk Cooper went above and beyond the call of duty. Not pleased with the first come first serve restaurant policy. Went to dinner at 7pm and had to wait an hour. Parking is a difficult climb to drop off and get your car.

I stayed at the Many Glacier Hotel for two nights in late August as part of a tour. Full disclosure, I worked at the Many Glacier Hotel 49 years ago and it is still one of my favorite places on earth. The views are overwhelming, the hiking is fantastic and the recent changes in

As others have said, keep checking the website, multiple times a day. I did not start our planning until February for an August stay, and of course the entire hotel was booked full. I kept checking back every day on the reservation website, one night at a time. I eventually got one night, then a few weeks later got the second night. It will happen, but you've got to be willing to keep checking. As someone said previously - it feels like hitting the lottery! I wanted to share the news with everyone I knew, but I was the only one who was excited about the room win. Many Glacier is worth it, keep trying.

The blinds cover the windows pretty well, peaking would be tough. No divide on the balcony. Most people who stay here will are pretty respectful of privacy and worn out after hiking all day.

As one of the prior answers states, they do not have balconies, but the entire area is so breathtaking, it really does not matter. Do also be sure to book in advance. The lodges fill up long in advance.

We had mice in our room and saw them running around the restaurant! Unacceptable! And they don't seem to care. The customer service at this hotel was sub-par, but I must say the view from our room was beautiful. So if you want a beautiful view in a historical hotel and don't mind mice running around, this is the hotel for you!
