My wife and I were in Bigfork for our son's wedding. We decided to book the Bridge Street Cottages for 1) proximity and, 2) something more unique. We were not disappointed. My wife commented that the cottage we stayed in was the cleanest of ANY room (any hotel or Lodge, etc.) she had ever stayed in before. The Property Managers were gracious and accommodating. When she heard we had our daughter staying with us as well she upgraded up to a larger cottage that came in very handy. I would stay here again for sure.

Everything about our stay was wonderful, you can't find a better location, right in town and next to farmers market, kayak rental, Lake, restaurants, shops. We never had to drive unless it was to visit other cities and Glacier National Park which was just about a 45 min drive without traffic. Everyone working there was quick to respond with questions and help with refreshing any items we needed for the room. Very quiet and loved the private cottage and enjoyed having our own front patio. Parking was right in front of our cottage which was great. Everything was very respectful and in-line for Covid safety, no in-room cleaning (could request extra towels etc and were left by our door) at the time we were there, so no one entered the cottage but us. Great wifi connection, water pressure was awesome and bed was comfortable. Loved everything about it and will be the place I stay when returning to Big Fork

I have had the pleasure of staying at Bridge Street Cottages on two occasions. The cottages are very quaint and provide a very relaxing experience. The units were immaculate both times which is very impressive. They are also individually decorated with unique furnishings that create a very homey feeling. The river front cottages have very large decks with a BBQ to relax and enjoy the view. Love the large bathroom and the way it is designed. The cottages also have a spacious MBR and kitchen. Love everything about the cottages except I wish for a larger refrigerator. I am most impressed with the Manager Abigail. Abigail makes you feel like you are a very special guest even before you arrive. The most recent stay we received an unexpected upgrade when the room we booked had a maintenance issue. This was most surprising and we really appreciated it! We will return and hope to bring family on the next visit. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Bridge Street Cottages!

I am so disappointed with the management of the cottages - I cannot caution you enough to not book here. I had been in communication with the woman who manages the front desk, Abigail, for months regarding a block of rooms for my wedding. I wish I had read the other reviews sooner. She had initially agreed to hold the rooms through the end of the year, which was more than appreciated. Unfortunately, she reached back out multiple times demanding that we have our guests book sooner, which we were compliant with as we were still very excited to stay here and use it as a space to enjoy our wedding festivities. The problems really started when Abigail became incredibly difficult to get ahold of, as she would rarely answer the phone during business hours, and if she did it seemed as if she was inconvenienced by the request to book a room for our wedding guests. Additionally, she took down the reservation of one of our guests in July (well within her tightened timeframe) and then proceeded to lose the reservation and allow two other people who had no affiliation with our wedding party to book rooms that were already spoken for, and refused to remedy the situation in an honest and reasonable manner. Despite asking for email verification of our reservations, no documentation was ever provided. When asked to remedy the situation of our guests being displaced by a scheduling error by the cottages, Abigail refused to answer my phone calls (during business hours) and only communicated via a series of rude emails. Threats were made to cancel our entire reservation, and she continually suggested that we book elsewhere. Her offer to "fix" the situation was continually evolving and the offers were increasingly worse, rather than honoring her original commitment with us to save the rooms until our party had booked, at which point the remaining cabins could be opened to the public. The final conversation I had with Abigail was when she finally called me back and screamed at me through the phone, refusing to engage in a cordial conversation, insisting that I would be happier staying somewhere else. We finally realized that our wedding weekend and money would be better spent elsewhere that treats their customers with respect and kindness. I cannot emphasize enough how horrible this experience was, and I would strongly caution anyone against booking here in the future. The volatile nature of the staff is truly appalling.

I made a reservation online and was called the next day by Abigail who left a message to call her that she couldn’t honor the reservation due to an overbooking. I was told I would not be charged. On July 11 I was charged for the room and left several messages about the error. I received a message from Abigail to call her and left several messages without an additional call back. I sent an email showing a copy of the voicemail message regarding the cancellation and I should not have been charged. I have not seen any refund to date despite all of the communication.

Hi Peggy, We were very busy this summer and unfortunately, you were not able to stay with us. The situation you mentioned in your review was remedied in a very timely manner. We hope that next time you are in the area you can stop by so that we can give you a tour of the cottages and maybe even book a night. Take care, Abigail

The new updated cottage on the river with the large back porch provided just what we expected. We didn't cook but the kitchen is well appointed along with the grill on the porch. We loved our coffee there in the mornings and wine later in the day. Abigail, the property manager was johnny on the spot. Pleasant and professional. The double sink large bathroom was extremely well appointed like a spa. Pull down black out window coverings in the large king bedroom. Lovely living space off the kitchen with a nice view of the Swan river and back porch. Walking distance to town for restaurants, shops, coffee, live music, etc. We loved the Playhouse and highly recommend you book in advance or will be sold out if you wait until you arrive. The Swan River trail nearby was a nice, easy walk along the river. We rented a pontoon boat from Old Faithful Water sports on Woods Bay 8 min down the road. Enjoy your trip!

We were unable to make our air conditioner in our room work in very hot weather. After many tries, none of the management staff could make it work either. We were told that since none of these tries yielded success we would be given a break on the room rate. This seemed fair. Later we were told the problem with the air conditioner was "user error" and that we would not be given a reduced rate. Since the management was the most recent and repeated "user" it was their error and it is extremely unfair and nonsensical to accuse us of being the "users' who made the error, Ultimately, somehow the a/c was made to work. Throughout the frustrating experience we were treated in an unkind and a very defensive pattern as if we were the problem, and that we should have been able to work something that even they did not know how to work. It was very disappointing and discouraging to be treated like this by persons in the hospitality business. .

Dear Sue, We did give you a refund. In our first conversation before I had a chance to look at the air conditioning you asked me if I would guarantee that you get a refund. We did everything we could considering the circumstances and in the end, it was a user error. It is very disappointing that you wrote this bad review. Abigail

Our family just returned from a 6 night stay in two of the riverfront cottages. We were very impressed at how clean and charming the cottages were! The location is very quiet and the sound of the river flowing right outside our back door was so peaceful. It was convenient to be a short walk away from Electric Avenue, especially for the 4th of July parade. Management and all staff were helpful and friendly. We will definitely return!

Bridge street cottages is a pearl in big fork. The cottage was spotless and so cost with a detail for comfort unpairable. The staff and owners so welcoming and helpful.
We loved the location and be able to walk to town. The friendliness of the residents is incredible.
We will definitively come back to the cottage next time we come which we hope very soon.

We spent 5 days in the Bear-themed cottage suite at Bridge Street Cottages, and we really loved it. We were in the smallest option of the cottages, but we still had plenty of space as well as a couch, full bathroom, mini fridge, microwave, desk, 2 dressers, and a spacious closet. The whole room was extremely clean, and there were lots of cute touches all over (even the curtain rods had bears on them!!). We had family staying in the adjacent room, and it was very easy for us to open our doors to combine the rooms, as well as close and lock the doors to separate them. There is really easy walking access to the Swan River and downtown Bigfork. Abigail was also extremely accommodating and kind while we were booking, and she even went back and found a lost item after our family members had checked out and realized they left it behind!! Overall we would very strongly recommend.
