Arrived late at night on a trip driving through Montana, quick check in, great location, walking distance to restaurants, affordable, friendly staff. I would stay at the hotel again. Seemed fair price for the room.

Hi, we at the Dude are pleased to hear you and your wife had a good time at the Dude! I will pass on this review to our head housekeeper and to the restaurant. We try very hard to make our guest feel at home! Thank you again!

My wife and I recently stayed at this property. We were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional staff, clean room/facility as well as fantastic on-site restaurant. The rate was affordable and I would have expected to pay more. I would recommend this property without hesitation. We will make sure and stay at this property whenever in Billings.

Nice hotel in the center of Billings. We were able to walk to dinner and breakfast and around town from the hotel easily. The room was nicely decorated and western themed which was fun. My only problem with it was we had noisy neighbors but other than that not a bad place to stay while you are in Billings. I...

Thank you for your review. It sounds like you had a pretty good time I only wish we could have made it perfect by quieting those noisy neighbors. Please do not hesitate to let the Front Desk Staff (available 24 hours a day) know if you have any problems. We look forward to having you stay with us on your...

My partner and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon. The woman at the desk was hostile and disorganized. The carpet is smelly, and the rooms are made of cinderblocks. On Monday morning I arrived at the attached restaurant to get breakfast and got amazing shade from the head-something, a woman with deep hate in her heart. She treated me so...

We regret that your experience was not more positive but thank you for writing a review as it gives us an opportunity to improve. We have addressed your concerns with our restaurant staff and the front desk staff and are confident any issues have been resolved. Demolition of the old library is now completed.

We definitely felt we had arrived in the west. Seemed clean enough and the decor was a hoot. Some people would find the double room cramped, but it was fine for a single night. There is no continental breakfast.

Thank you for staying with us and writing a review of your experience. The Dude Rancher Lodge is a registered historic hotel and we work to ensure we keep our heritage alive by providing great western hospitality. Stirrups is the attached café and has the best value breakfast in Billings. Their breakfasts are reminiscent of the old Rancher’s breakfast. I...

Beyond disappointed. Has potential but needs major cleaning and decor freshened. The walls are a dingy white-ish brick yet paper thin, even with ear plugs in we listened to drunk foreigners next door shouting and banging on the doors in hall at 3:00 AM! The carpet is filthy, stains everywhere and even wet in areas! We kept shoes by bed...

We stayed overnight on our journey back from Ontario to BC. Had read the reviews, seemed okay, but when we got there...not a great part of the city. Two doors, one didn't lock, the other the bolt worked. Beds sagged, carpet was moldy and absolutely filthy. Wanted an extra $1.00 on the rate and it had only been one week...

In downtown Billings, this is a unique, ranch-style lodge/motel with an industrial flat weave branded carpet on the floor and open beam wooden ceiling on the second floor. Our room was not noticeably worn, although obviously not new. Suzanne, at the front desk, was very courteous and attentive. We especially appreciated that she took into consideration our special needs (chemical...

Reserved two rooms for family coming to town. The lobby was nice with a western feel. The two rooms were connected and each was really large.
