Imagine a remote, peaceful getaway with every amenity you're craving for a retreat -- you've found it! Boulder Hot Springs Inn and Spa offered our small group of friends uniquely themed rooms appointed with refurbished antiques, quilts, accompanying artwork, cozy beds, lovely views, and private bathrooms. I've stayed here several times, and each room offers a different feel while you're here. The heated pools were clean and varied from cold to warm to hot, and the comfy, terrycloth robes provided to each of us made it effortless to come in from the outside pools, even when the snow was falling.
Although some of us were gluten free, sugar free, vegan, or some combination thereof, we each awakened to a custom-crafted breakfast that was not only delicious but beautifully plated. The many sitting areas, both inside and out, offered us the ability to get away from the group without needing to leave the premises or retreat to our rooms.
Covidly speaking, social distancing was practiced throughout and masks were required in the buildings at all times, which assured several of our group of the safety of joining us. I could not wait to return, so I came back a week later for a few more days of bliss. Thank you for the loving care offered effortlessly by every staff member. I'll be back next year.

We arrived at this gem of an oasis after some 11 hours of driving. From the fairy tale setting as viewed from the road , to the warm welcome plus personally guided tour of the premises by Michelle at the front desk, our arrival could not have been any better.
We stayed in the quiet Celebration Suite on the second floor. Quiet, well appointed and a spectacular view of the steaming natural hot springs in the cool morning.
The included breakfast was a delicious freshly cooked chef's surprise.
Hot springs features were beyond any possible expectation, including an exceptionally clean and very warm non-chlorinated outdoor pool complemented by equally clean indoor hot plunge pools, natural "steam" bath and an invigorating cold plunge pool for the ladies only. Again...all super clean and well maintained by staff who take immense pride in their 1930's built retreat.
We recommend this gem of an oasis without reservation. However, make your stay reservations ahead of time as this establishment should be fully booked continuously for the quality they offer at an amazing affordable price, whether for just a day stay or overnight.
Many thanks again. We look forward to returning.
Taras

Boulder Hot Springs is a must visit place when you are driving through the Boulder Valley or staying in Butte or Helena for any amount of time.

The history of the place is incredible in & of itself and the hot springs are so healing.

As well as a men’s and women’s indoor soaking areas, the pool is also filled with the wonderful radiated mineral water that this part of the country is known for.

The cost is very reasonable at $10 per person or if you choose to stay on the premises in the no-frills rooms, it is included in the cost of the room(s). You can opt to eat breakfast 🍳 that is cooked on site and rather delicious for a increased room cost.

If you are going to stay bring plenty of reading materials as there are noTV’s.

All in all, a very unique experience that will also benefit your health.

11 of us met here for a four day, 3 night winter getaway. My room was the "best" one there. The bed was so uncomfortable that my shoulders ached all night. There is quite a strong odor of mildew and many of us were having reactions with breathing difficulties, swollen eyes, etc. This is a very old building so I suppose some of this is unavoidable as the old wool carpets, old overstuffed furniture etc were embedded with it. The room was so narrow I had to squeeze sideways to get in through the bathroom door, which is prevented from opening wide by the bed. There are two steam radiators in my room, which I had turned off completely for my visit. The view was lovely from my upper floor end room, overlooking the pool. I had to keep my windows opened 24/7 for fresh air. It was quaint and quirky. Very eclectic. Enjoyed the tour and history. Didn't feel the price was reflective of the very old and run down furnishing. The food was pretty typical - scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, and fresh fruit. Dinner was chicken, potato and asparagus one night. Pouched salmon with rice another night. Average of $20 per meal for cafeteria style food. The outdoor pool was most enjoyable though pretty messy with last seasons life jackets, floats, etc frozen into the ground. Parking lot was perilously icy and on a slope. Some salt or sand would have been appreciated. Our big group wouldn't fit into the smaller sitting room of the B&B so we were graciously given access to the main lobby of the hotel, which made the stay better. It's just an outdated place but not furnished with compatible furnishing. Many chairs were stained and sagging they were so worn out. Kinda like garage sale furnishings in a grand building. I won't be back. Too many better options in our beautiful state.

We visit the pool facilities occasionally. We find the facilities to be clean and welcoming, and the staff pleasant. There is a large outdoor pool that is relaxing and provides nice views of the surrounding mountains. The inside facilities include a hot sauna and small pool for men, and a small hot and cold pool for women. There are feet cleaning stations outside the inside pools. We have not utilized the hotel. Pool rates are reasonable.

Been coming here for 55 years with my family. The water is healing and I can walk 90 percent better when I leave. I floated an hour in the out side pool, very peaceful, relaxing.
Bed and breakfast rooms with themes.Breakfast was great both days. Staff very friendly.
A place to relax, no smoking, no alcohol,
Old, not fancy a lot of history. In side hot and cold plunge, steam rooms, and even massages pre arranged.

Our kids treated us to a stay at Boulder Hot Springs. The experience was similar to one we had at Chico but with a smaller outdoor pool (95 degrees) and fewer people. Don't expect fancy - the building is old, from a bygone era. The bedroom was small but adequate with a private half bath; we enjoyed breakfast in the sunny dining room; we appreciated that coffee, tea, the use of MW and toaster was always available; Laura at the front desk was kind.

6 couples showed up here in 6 antique cars for a 2 night stay. This is a very cool historic building and a very awesome hot springs. The size of this historic building is amazing. The rooms were historic, themed and very comfortable. This place must have been absolutely incredible in its day. We had 4 meals catered to us by the very capable kitchen staff. All meals were made from scratch by the very talented chef. They were without a doubt the best meals we have had in our travels. We enjoyed the Hot Springs the scenery and the morning day trip to the Ringing Rocks near Whitehall. We had a great time and will be back soon.

Stayed one night with our friends. This was our second time at the hotel. If you are looking for the luxury stay that gets hyped up in magazines, this isn’t it. You have to remember that the hotel is almost 100 years old. The rooms are smaller.. No elevators; just stairs. But this was all 100% ok with us. We loved the historic value of the hotel and embraced it. We stayed in room 205; twin beds with a private half bath. The co-ed hot pool was 108 F. The sauna was amazing. Didn’t use the outside pool as all we wanted to do was soak after a long day of driving. And it was awesome that guests got to use the pool privately from 8-10 pm then 7-8 am, We had the pools all to ourselves. Will we stay again…heck yeah!

This place must have been unique and luxurious in its day.
The owners are attempting to bring it back to its glory . There is clearly potential with areas not yet open to the public. A devastating earthquake destroyed a massive pool area still in ruins.
We would stay there again because the outside pool at 105 degrees is perfect and unlike some natural springs doesn't smell.
The rooms are clean but no frills. The breakfast was buffet and plentiful with good hot and cold varieties .
We looked for a place in town for dinner. Unfortunately if you want beer or wine your options are limited.
